@@DrTrishSanders : "Labels" are useful in that they can succintly characterize a cluster of "symptoms/experiences" for which there may be a cluster of "remedies/approaches". However, we can't let "labels" define us. Words matter and unfortunately, the English language oftentimes portray our experiences as defining characteristics, like, "I am cold" versus "I feel cold" The English language says "I am" sick where as other languages will say "I have sickness". I know that it sounds irrelevant, but I do think that it has an impact, however subtle.

I think we all try to understand our reality. When you see more than one reality life becomes confusing. What seems like reality is just one of many. As a little boy i thought this world was bat shit crazy. All i ever wanted was everyone to be happy and get along with each other. I didnt know how to understand or intregate who i was. I saw picture and other parts of peoples thoughts and was labled as wierd. So i burried my gift. Um at this point it was not a gift. It was More of a curse. Love is the key to all. This is a place of petty people and it still is.i hear we are all trying to learn to be better souls. Its not apparent .it is confusing. Karma is changing. Its a trap for many. I say this because it what was . Not what was it. See it and let it go.

Having a sister that was bipolar and Paranoid Schiz.....mental illness is very real. I saw her completely fall apart and she was beautiful, successful, healthy, educated and had everything to live for but her illness was something I would not wish on anyone. I also suffer from severe anxiety and depression and I wish it was as easy as "I wasn't loved enough (not true" or that I'm psychic, etc. Could people with psychic gifts be misdiagnosed...maybe... but there are people who truly suffer from mental illness. To say otherwise is doing a serious disservice to people that suffer each and every day. I absolutely believe that there is a segment of people that can see spirits and that have psychic abilities only to be told that they are mentally ill. I hope those people truly find their calling as more awareness is being brought to spiritual gifts. But, please do not completely discount mental illness for everyone on the planet. That really doesn't sit well with me.

I agree, I have seen people deteriorate because of mental illness. I agree that there may be a psychic component to it for certain people, or at times, but it is crippling and makes a person dysfunctional without the right supports. I wanted to believe in the theory that is being upheld in the video, but it does not work for all. Psychosis untreated causes cognitive decline. There perhaps can be the imaginative, spiritual, ascendant feel with something like a psychotic episode, like a spiritual emergence or psychic connection, but there is also a grim reality. Antipsychotics are needed by certain people. Metabolic therapies have proven to work, and have created an opportunity for medical reduction, or removal. Nutrition is now an experimental area in mental health treatment. I respect the point of view that a spiritually sensitive person can be misdiagnosed, it can happen, but unfortunately I don't think this is the case for all, unless a person is so much in two worlds that they become dysfunctional in this world. This is a complex issue without a simple solution. Perhaps Shamanic society's can deal with mental illness in a healthier way, and part of the problem may be how people are labelled. What makes mental illness alarming is how the person can no longer function well, and how it can destroy a life.

I'm 61, in my day I remember being about 5, and being sent to my room for being naughty and continually lying. I remember being so depressed and rejected that I told my Spirit friends never to speak to me again because mummy was always crying. They said okay, but I had to understand I would never see them for many, many years, and if I was okay with that, then they would agree. Yess to xmen!! I had 2 "kundalini" events and told it was temporary psychosis twice!!! This makes me cry tears of joy that I am not alone and maybe oneday I can have the wise woman or shaman or mentor teach me and help me! I am a sensitive person I am also highly resilient. I practice yoga and have had experiences in kind of regular yoga. I just had a visceral reaction to saying no to Kundalini. Two things I know since is that people can unwind in Kundalini seriously and because psychotic and their lives because a real mess for them. The same can happen with days and days and days on end of intense emptying meditation. It is important to know. I will not at this stage in my life touch LSD or plant medicine. Mostly because I have this kind of spiritual openness and I have been targeted by people in manipulative, bullying ways. I know that i need a certain stability or shift in my spiritual space before trying or inviting anything else. It could look the opposite, “oh you are so open, you are ready”. Not all energies or entities that visit and emerge are safe. Malevolence is real. . I have had a lot of spiritual experiences and I really ask people to be careful.

You may want to explore Kundalini. The serpent 🐍 is not part of the light and love of the creator. It's fully dark forces, disguised, as an enlightening scension tool. The dark forces have powers and can empower others. Highly recommend checking out Stephen Bancars, Doreen Virtue, and Spencer Smith. It's an uncomfortable journey, but worth it. May the truth prevail.

I have a diagnosis of BD with psychosis. Durning of my journeys I perceived myself dying and descending into the Underworld. I went into the womb of the mother and perceived a lot of goddesses, including the Shakti. I was 'reborn' a few days later. This was in 1995, and had no support. The medical model was strong back then. I see a lot of improvement these days. There seems to be more of a spiritual infrastructure for people like me. Even my therapist is open to astrology and psychic abilities. I spend too much time alone and isolated. I really want to meet more people who are on a spiritual path, but, it's been difficult. I have done a lot of shadow work, but, I think it's time to embrace the light.

Lisa. This video contains a lot of mis information. Everybody is unique. So that is the most importance thing. Looking closely at other parts of mental health care and recovery are important too. Like maybe occupational therapy. Help with managing and getting on top of everyday life. Also if you have a doctor and you seem them explaining you want to come off medication. Letting them know that some of your decisions is from the information here, this can be useful. I know that doctors are rushed etc. but try make the most supportive and informed decision you can for you. Why? Because you are you, you are unique, you have your strengths, challenges and overall life situation and most of all you are worth it. You deserve the most informed decision for you. Take care.

I have wondered if hearing voices (mediumship) was sometimes misdiagnosed as schizophrenia & if being trans is experienced because a being is attached to their previous life’s body. I can tell you undoubtedly that no matter how wonderful my life is, only medication can help my depression. Somehow, I found this channel through Instagram. I’ can’t sleep sitting here at 5 AM watching this, my 82 mother who has never been able to love me and always find ways to hurt me. After speaking with her today, I wanted to harm myself I couldn’t sleep and now I’m watching this… I have loved her and forgiven her. And accepted that she has done the best she could, but to continue to cause me harm. I’m angry now you say love is the answer , to love her in spite of everything she has done to me. I have one small caveat to the statement about how we could be happy with anyone, and that is that it needs to be anyone who is healthy, honest, authentic and able to give and receive love. No one is going to be happy with a sociopath for instance because being in any kind of relationship with someone who has no empathy, or conscience, and who cannot give or receive love is a relationship of inevitable harm.

I have just recently been put on antidepressants and mood balancers and anxiety medication. I have been battling and did not want to be put on anything. When i was 20 i had predicted a series of life events that came true but i essentially "ruined" it and blamed myself for years for ruining a "fate" i was warned of, ill be forever grateful to the first pyschologist i ever saw, i tried to convince her i was crazy and have an unhealthy reliance on "signs" and the universe and she would not let me run that narrative in my head when she had every right to as a practicioner, she said i think thats really beautiful about you, i think you are very self aware and have a connection to a higher power that could very much exist. I wonder if I saw things also 🤷🏼‍♀️ When I used to be babysat by Aunty and Uncle they laugh still to this day they used to put a dash of whiskey in my milk bottle to settle me. Not my main take away but I love when she - paraphrasing said we are all individualized as snow flakes. To take that further it is a great interpretation of what we are in the human experience, we come into this world each unique in our own way. We land somewhere still as those shapes but molding into the collective in that uniqueness and when spring time comes around, we melt and continue as water showing the endless livlihood outside of the human experience

Omg…when you mentioned you had to watch the movie “the mark of the beast”…phew!! Crazy, as this is a part of my story as well…messed me up (watching it at 9 yo)…I hold zero judgement of the Pentecostal church I was born into (now)…but it certainly was a story I laid myself down as a victim into for YEARS! What all these illnesses are, can be attributed to Spiritual Emergencies. The Psyche is trying to heal itself. After Kundalini energy, and the chakras blown open & third eye awakened with old energy needing to be burned off over the years. It can resemble many of the attributes of schizophrenia but different.
