Being sorry for getting caught but not sorry for your actions is called transitory guilt. Worked 22 1/2 years with maximum security juveniles on treatment teams trying to recover violent offenders. We wrote/used the Maxey model at Maxey training school in Michigan. Transitory guilt is used as part of the "offense cycle" in treatment showing offenders how their thoughts and actions are detrimental to them and their victims.

This is what is wrong with colleges. You send you kid there for an education and instead they are indoctrinated and sent home as more of a lost soul. Politics is not part of the curriculum of English or math or economics or physics etc. now if in poly sci then maybe Too many people have lost their kids to this culture being taught in college. I ask my kids regularly what they are being taught and make certain they are not being brainwashed by some other person. It is my job to teach my kids about life. It is their job to educate based upon the course my kids take
