Agree with you Icbaudar. Also, there's an opening for this kind of remix work in the copyright laws called "fair use" and "transformation". Basicly it means you can just go ahead and do it as long as you transform the work into something different, and you dont compete in the original works market. Boom.

You have a good point, and maybe I should - but at the same time it's not many of "my songs" which aren't sample based in the first place. People who listen to my music knows this I think, I don't spend much time thinking about it. In fact I will say that if you don't hear the singer say my name somewhere, it's a fair chance it's a sample or a cover. In short, I don't spend much time thinking about it, but yes maybe I should.

My point was that if he doesnt know anything about the genre he is talking about - a genre heavily based on sampling from the very start (like hiphop), I get the impression that his critisism is based on the fact that he likes Radiohead, and that the political parts of his arguements aren't that important.

@vega2025 i supported his views when his arguements had valid points - until he started referring to the genre as something totally wrong (dubstep?) and dissed my artistic integrity, which he knows nothing about. When he thinks i don't "produce my own shit" it means he didnt do his homework. That's when I feel he is simply ranting because he loves Radiohead more than anything else.

I just read in Scientific Fact Magazine that Rrambler is an idiot. It also said he knew nothing about "fair use" and "transformation", and that he knows nothing about me as an artist. His preference to the original makes his opinions biased in the first place, and what he would appreciate that I do bears no value because nobody knows who he is.
