Awesome video. People want to separate The psychological and the spiritual. It's my personal view, that The two are not separate. . Or at least not as separate as we think they are. The two realms can be the same realm. Or maybe separate but linked. All things are connected ✨️

Psyche is the Greek word for Soul (ψυχή). And yet the Soul is just a superstition for this "science". A more accurate term would be "personalitology" ,but it doesn't sound "scientific".

If we follow the psychological explanation, then the effects are very possible if we see the whole world itself as as a psychological phenonomen (as a vivid simulation or such).. like a collision of consciousnesses maybe
@xoanwahn7 ай бұрын
Right, the psychological model makes total sense if we understand Mind as something that exists beyond brain and follow on to the Idealist formulation that everything is just Mind. Then, spirits could be understood as projections or fragments of Mind, just as we are - differentiated bubbles of consciousness that emerge from the Universal Mind. There is no difference between saying that spirits are real entities that exist out there and that they emerge from or are created by God, or whatever, and saying that spirits are fragments of disembodied consciousness that emerge from the Universal Mind; that they are just as real as we are, but not bound by flesh. It's the same thing. In that sense, the psychological model and Idealism as a whole are basically modern forms of theology and cosmology that pretend they aren't.

@@xoanwahn yes, this is an amazing explanation )

That’s Vedanta or at best philosophical idealism not psychology. When the psychological model is referenced it is referring to western psychological theories based on scientific materialism. Often the theories of Jung. Jungian psychoanalysis (along with all forms of talk therapy) have very poor efficacy basis when subjected to real sciency scrutiny. Why should this then be applied to magic when it doesn’t even work for mental health?

@@blthzr9401 I have heard the psychological explanation of magic (in this, Western sense) few times. I have noticed that they are people who never expect any real results anyway. Other ones doesn't want to talk about it - fear maybe.

@@blthzr9401 Agreed. This is really philosophy, not psychology proper which is essentially materialistic even if its practitioners aren't necessarily so.
