Altering behavior to "pass" temporarily, while not difficult per se, quickly becomes personally unacceptable (and thus impossible) given the desire for truth and authenticity. Good manners are then emphasized, as all other artifice has been discarded as useless deception, and without gentle kindness, all we are to most people is a brick to the face. "Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life."

How do we fix it? 😭 I usually just stay quiet because I don’t want to seem arrogant. There is NO in between.

I am an INTP at home and an INTJ at work. I don't need a plan unless I have a job to do.
@JohnSmithAaargh3 ай бұрын
It may go deeper than that.
@jessicaamy67119 ай бұрын
When I was a kid, my favourite thing to do was go looking at display homes to get their plans and draw my own, I wanted to be an architect so bad. When I was a late teen I went and did fitting and machining and as I got older I got so into neuroscience and philosophy haha, clearly so predictable. We are so passionate about so many things it can sometimes lead us astray, we are obsessed with something one week and another thing the next. If you’re young, be mindful of the existential crisis you will find yourself in because we can’t help but question the meaning of existence, the answer I have found is nothing and everything matters all at once.

You were most likely always an INTP, as your MBTI is deeply embedded in your inner psyche and DNA. I know that INFJ’s often get mistyped for INTP’s, and sometimes vice versa, but they are both very different. It is best to read up all the cognitive functions and be type by a live experienced typologist.
@crypt512911 ай бұрын
Your MBTI is not embedded in your psyche and DNA, it's widely discredited by academia as anything meaningful, just a collection of vaguely related personality traits. Your personality can change drastically, hence your MBTI can change drastically. Sounds like you're thinking of this like astrology, which definitely has some fascist undertones I don't appreciate as someone who doesn't like fascism

I used to be infj but now Matter how many times i give the test it always intp🤸🏻♀️
@sylviaowega38393 ай бұрын
@@Jesusinme123-i8j It is highly likely that you were mistyped the first time around, especially if you were very young and did quite get a full grasp as to what each question meant; and also if you used one of those free online MBTI knock-off tests, it could have very well give you an inaccurate result. In addition, the INFJ is so far different from INTP knowing both use Ti, and are one of the four IN’s.
@JassieBui-bf8bl3 ай бұрын
The last point - INTP's prepare for spontinaeity and every possible outcome - but they do embrace structure from the ground up on firm logic that takes time to understand and get the knowledge of all the facts - they are ready to adapt because they think through every possibility and love to create new and innovative solutions to problems - but they definitely hate chaos or when they don't have time to fully understand the fundamentals before coming to the best solution with backups and abilities to adapt in mind. Chaotic and shifting unpredictable structures cause INTP's a lot of stress.

Our of curiosity, how old are you? Late 20- early 30? I think it’s around that time where INTPs discover the value of self-discipline and undergoing self improvement, so they start answering personality test questions like INTJ.

Yes, I have tested for both and I do have a laser focus on tasks I work with but also a more cynical look at things. For example, noticing the error in the video above at the part where they talk about "career and life paths" and noticing it bluntly says "INTJ" although it's a video about "INTP" so a reuse of material and most likely this video was created after the INTJ video and material was copied over.
