Absolutely Love Paul Blooms and Robert Wrights take on empathy, ive been watching all of their old interviews as so torn between the two, i think this is where i got to in the end - how do we make decisions to stop / understand an evil / immoral situation or action = Understand with / using compassion / cognitive empathy, but without emotional empathy so that you can use self control without anger ect, with action to solve / understand the problem . Anyone still on this as it was a few years ago lol, if you are out there do you agree??

Would love to see a video interview of yourself describing how your book “Moral Animal” came about, how it was researched, written, etc. Truly a masterpiece... Best R

The point around 32:00 is why Kant said that the only good thing in-itself is a "good will" because you can use intelligence (for example) to be better at doing evil

I think it’s funny that ostensibly intelligent and curious people say things like “Ukraine attacked by Russia” and “Ukrainians being killed by Russian soldiers.”
