Fun fact: While recording, static decided that an authentic gunshot, alongside realistic bodily movements would be beneficial to the operation, so he decided to take a 1911 and blow a hole through the roof of his head! Can we all appreciate how dedicated he was to the role?

Had this experience on a solo hike. Woke up before everyone to go hike to the top alone. Taking pictures the whole way. I got up there and the birds were chirping. Squirrels were running around. All the normal noises you would hear in a forest. I started to hike down into this part of the forest that looked cool at the time and then stopped when my gut told me it was time to go back. Something just did not feel right. Then I noticed it was dead silent. Not even wind. That got me to say yea time to go. I took one last picture and made it down to camp. A week later I was looking at the pictures and that last picture there was something looking at me over a boulder. I can only describe it as looking like a stereotypical grey alien.

Your 513-1 looks fantastic. I was afraid for a moment it would just assault Franklin (which wouldn't be correct for this SCP - it only assaults those unconscious and asleep), but instead it walked up close enough to startle Franklin without really landing a hit on him, whilst continuing to watch from the shadow, just toying with its victim. Oh excellent. At the ending you could really feel Franklin's despair and what's scary, it was still the very same night - a sane adult man was brought to madness in just few hours, and that's absolutely horrifying. Bravo!

Thank you! Your kind words are appreciated. 513-1 was modeled in Blender by me, so I'm glad you were sufficiently spooked by his appearance. :) I also did my best to hold true to the original SCP article's horror, while also putting my own spin on the story and it's characters. This was truly a blast to work on especially since I've been an SCP nerd for the longest time :D

@@ReachAnimations No problem. SCP, very strangely, has an almost untapped analog horror potential, which is kinda strange considering how popular and influential it has been in the sphere of internet fiction writing for so many years (it could be the Creative Commons license discouraging creators and studios), and I believe that your short film could be the leading example for other potential creators in the future, that this format can also be applied to SCP with success. I do love SCP Foundation as well, and I'd love to witness it exploding with popularity once more.

This is genuinely one of the best analog horror videos I've ever seen. The voice acting is absolutely impeccable, and that psychotic laughter at the end gave me soo many chills man, fantastic job to the voice actor I know his voice had to be sore after recording all of that. And the atmosphere both outside and inside are so creepy and the sound design is very unnerving. The way the forest ambience with the crickets and wind suddenly stops when he rings the bell is terrifying, and you can tell something is terribly wrong. SCP analog horror idea: (I put a lot of work into this, ples like) A new researcher has entered the site as a trainee, a few months after the events SCP containment breach (its in a similar universe). He spends his first month learning about the site, the scps, and just working in general. He is notified about the recent events at the site once he is experienced enough. He decides to check into the story a bit deeper, and sees a few holes in the story the foundation has given him. He doesn't believe that 079 could just pop into the foundation terminals randomly, not with all the security it has, and also as (in this version) no chaos insurgency were reported at the site. He expresses this possible lie the higher-ups have told to his coworker, which is caught on a security camera. His suspicions will be recorded in diary entries as the first tape, along with the security footage. The second tape will be him finding out about another, older researcher known as Researcher A in the tapes deep into the sites logs. He finds out he had been haunted by an anomaly months before the breach, and the foundation suspected he caused the breach after being possesed by it. The researcher then records himself directly, telling the camera about what he found, and how he thinks that the anomaly was trying to breach by possessing Researcher A, all while his face is hidden. What he doesn't know is that the site has been tracking his movements ever since he was caught in the first tape. He shows an image he found of the entity, but it is censored except for one frame when half of it is shown. Then, theres a sudden bang, and the screen goes black, and the entity, hidden in the darkness, says somthing ominous (idk). Then words pop up saying that the trainee researcher has been terminated for his actions. (the last two tapes will be interrupted randomly by flashes of the entity talking) It's a few months before the events of SCP containment breach. Researcher A keeps reporting dreams of a weird figure asking him to do something. He thinks its an anomaly, but other researchers and on-site psychologists can't detect anything in him. We slowly go through around a month of him keeping track of his dreams, and the entity, when he tries to draw it on paper, it always gets censored. He slowly goes more and more insane, until the entity controls him. It makes him hack into the terminals of the site, and allows 079 access to the site, starting the story. The moment when he is taken over, a full, uncensored image of the entity will be shown. This tape is meant to show what actualy happened, and is the third. The final tape is a debrief presented by the foundation itself. It talks about the real situation, and the tape glitches out a lot, and at one point will show a message saying "This tape is prohibited" for a few seconds before going back to the tape, and the entity will reappear multiple times. The tape will explain that anyone who sees the entity can be possesed by it through dreams and thoughts, and shows where researcher A saw it. Researcher A saw it as an odd email from someone outside the foundation, and the image of the entity was hidden in the corner of another image. Eventually it shows the entity again, and then explains that its full effects take a week to activate. Then everything goes silent and the screen goes black for 5 seconds, before a red message saying "prepare." ends the tape, and the series is finihed. Theres a lot of holes in the story here so feel free to put your own stuff in.

I don't know if you'll see this comment, I could go on for an hour about what I want to say about this. I don't think you realize the power you have here. Not only have you come up with the phenomenal idea to create Analog/VHS horror about the SCP Foundation Wiki, but you have the skill to make things look and feel real. I love artists and creators like Trevor Henderson, Kane Pixels, and Alex Kister, and I have a deep fascination for things that appear realistic to the eye, but aren't supposed to be there, either by violating natural laws, or just plain paranormal activity. That's part of the reason why Found Footage art and videos are so fascinating to me. To me, I see this as an opportunity to truly make SCP become realised. No official movies or shows are gonna be made about it, so this is the next best thing. Anyway, about the video: I love how you stayed true to the SCP, based on the file from the Wiki. This could be a stretch, but I think the reason SCP-513-1 is visible on the camera footage is because the cowbell was rung in the camera footage, and therefore the viewers can see the entity now. Amazing job, and I hope you continue to expand on your creative ideas. I'll be sure to enjoy them if you do, but don't overwork yourself. Have a great day/night. Edit: also, happy holidays

This... is why the SCP Foundation will always be more terrifying than FNAF. With FNAF, it's murder, dead bodies, and killers. With this, it's endless nightmares, sadistic monsters, and even something as simple as an intruder. This has made me feel a complete sense of fear, and I am ready for it. Reach, you have my thanks. WHICH SCP IS IT???? I WANNA KNOW!! Also, I'm glad one of my favorite FNaF VHS creators is branching out to other horror aspects 😅 Edit: I just looked it up, this is SCP-513's entire wiki page: SCP-513 Item #: SCP-513 Object Class: Euclid Special Containment Procedures: SCP-513 is to be suspended in a one cubic meter block of gelatin and contained within a soundproofed, climate-controlled cell. The gelatin must be inspected daily for any degradation or loss of integrity. An emergency inspection will be carried out immediately following any earthquake, explosion, or sonic event grade 2 or higher. Personnel performing the inspection are to wear earplugs and active noise-canceling earmuffs at all times while inside SCP-513’s cell. If the gelatin cube shows any signs of degradation (such as rips, tears, splits, liquefaction, or mold), SCP-513 is to be immediately removed and suspended within a replacement cube by a team of surgically deafened Class-D personnel. No other personnel are to enter the cell during this procedure. Any sentient beings exposed to SCP-513 are to be monitored by at least two security personnel at all times. Under absolutely no circumstances may exposure victims be administered sedatives or allowed to fall unconscious. Any victim who does fall unconscious is to be terminated immediately. Class-D personnel are to be terminated at the first sign of mental degradation. All other exposure victims may be terminated at their request. If possible, SCP-513-1 is to be apprehended on sight. Description: Physically, SCP-513 is an unremarkable, rusty cowbell. No marks or engravings are visible on its surface due to the large amount of corrosion. Attempts to remove the rust chemically or mechanically have had no success. SCP-513 was recovered by Agent ██████ while carrying out Containment Reestablishment Procedure Mu at Site-██. SCP-513’s clapper was firmly held in place by several strips of duct tape. A single scrap of paper was found along with SCP-513 (see Addendum). Any noise produced by SCP-513 immediately induces strong anxiety in all sentient beings who hear it, regardless of their previous mental status. Exposure victims report feelings of being watched by an unseen entity and present elevated heart rates and blood pressure. Roughly one hour after exposure, exposure victims begin to catch glimpses of SCP-513-1 when opening doors, walking past mirrors, turning their heads, or performing any other actions that result in a sudden change in visual perception. Upon being sighted, SCP-513-1 reportedly turns away and runs out of view before disappearing without a trace. Questioning of bystanders indicates that SCP-513-1 is invisible to those who have not been exposed to SCP-513. Sightings of SCP-513-1 reoccur every 14 to 237 minutes. This “stalking” behavior inevitably causes extreme sleep deprivation, as victims are frequently disturbed by SCP-513-1’s presence in their quarters. Victims able to fall asleep before SCP-513-1's appearance report being physically assaulted by it. Upon the victim's awakening, SCP-513-1 flees as usual (see Experiment Log 513). This sleep deprivation, along with the mental stress caused by SCP-513-1's behavior, invariably induces paranoia, aggression, hypervigilance, and depression. All test cases but one have ended with the test subject’s suicide. Descriptions of SCP-513-1's appearance are largely unreliable. Test subjects are unable to provide complete accounts of sightings due to their exhaustion, degraded mental health, and disruptive hypervigilance. However, all interrogations thus far indicate that SCP-513-1 is a tall, emaciated humanoid with abnormally large hands. Addendum: Text recovered from Site-██ You’ve seen it. Now he can hear you. You’ve touched it. Now he can see you. Never ring it. If you hear it, he can touch you. AFTERTHOUGHTS: It's basically a haunted cowbell that summons a demon. Think SCP-662 (Haunted Hand Bell; summons Mr. Deeds) but agressiveness & anxiety at 1000%

This was absolutely fantastic to watch! I only had a couple gripes (1 being less of a gripe more a "room for improvement" thing) But the rest of it was absolutely phenomenal; The way the voice actor portrayed the insanity of the situation, the sheer and utter brilliant quality of the animation and the assets, HELL EVEN THE WAY YOU ANIMATED THE CAMERA LOOKED SO REALISTIC. And one more thing I want to point out as being absolutely incredible: The way ALL AMBIENT SOUND STOPPED as he rung the bell. Incredible, Absolutely incredible, I am sharing this with all of my friends and communities I'm in.

This is absolutely great, always love to see content on 512, though one thing is that if this was from the point of view of a foundation member watching a tape by the foundation then the sound of the bell probably would've been redacted but I understand why it wasn't as it does add to the fear factor. Other then that though amazing work all around

Ooo I likey. It's giving Marble Hornets vibes. If I were forced to criticize, I would say there quite a bit of dead space between the interesting bits where either it's too dark or nothing's happening. Great video overall, thanks for posting!
