"Lean with me" is a reference to the drug called promethazine with codeine, Juice and many other rap artists would mix this with sprite or other sodas and drink it to form a very addictive combination known as lean/purple drank. He's basically insinuating to pour up lean with him. "Pop with me" just references the act of popping pills or popping mdma, again he's telling the listener to "pop with me" if they rock with him and his music.

“Will I die tonight? I don’t know, is it over? Looking for my next high, I’m looking for closure.” Don’t mix heartbreak with substances. I say that but it’s the only thing I know what to do right now 😔 I miss you Aurora, I’m sorry I drove you away. LLJ 🕊

Perfect way to explain this, “lean with me” dealing with lean and you tind to lean when you walk, “pop with me” popping pills

Strongly recommend you listen to You wouldnt understand from Fighting Demons….the chorus alone reveals so much about his psyche…Like so he sees…Love his reaction from a therapists pov juice spilled his soul in his music

Lean is a codeine and sprite mixed so leaning with him is to do it with him and popping is to do/pop pills and a bean is another word for pills

I love how the lyrics go “F’d up liver with some bad kidneys” because he states that he’s aware of the consequences that come with his actions. Man, I’m still such a big fan. He was so raw and open with everything that he was dealing with. It’s hard to listen to but so comforting at the same time.

Where were you when I needed therapy for what I didn't know then was postpartum meets undiagnosed autism all at a time when I was needing help to walk away from a physically abusive relationship at 19? I literally could not talk to the therapist to explain how anything was feeling. The only way I knew how to express myself was to write down song lyrics from songs I related to throughout the week between appointments that expressed in words, the way I couldn't, how I felt. The therapist I got wouldn't accept that and would not read them and kept wanting to insist that I look at her and talk with her right from the beginning. I stopped seeing her when she kept telling me to my face that I was fine but then was calling my older sister behind my back trying to pressure her into committing me. Have not trusted a therapist since. Could have really used one that got the power of song lyrics. Could have made a world of difference in my life path these last 20 or so years.

Wow! I love these comments, thanks so much for sharing. I think music and lyrics can help us express what we feel even better than words sometimes. I bring them into session all the time. I just think it’s cool that you were able to write lyrics about how you feel and there’s nothing better to express the deepest parts of ourselves then to write it down. Thanks so much for watching and letting me know😊👍
