Jaysusss ...I'm reading through some of comments and LOL ... What's all the twanga, nitrous, shanga, mach morgen softer, wonga, bongo, and whatever other stuff? LOL... If I were to lie down, close my eyes and relax, I'm sure I could have some kind of "psychedelic"experience without smoking any kind of stuff, but to each their own... and nobody is harming anyone else, so all good - just never knew there was so much stuff with different names, lol. I've always felt certain beats / music at a deep level, since I was very young. LOL, used to drive my friends / partner mad sometimes, when trying to replicate the way a certain instrumental sounds ...because I'd try to fit nearly all the background sounds into it. I more likely complicated things when I did this :-) because I always heard the background instruments (even though I wouldn't always be able to make out what what that certain instrument was). I'd say there are posters here who know exactly what I mean. As I grew older, I found that any song I really liked, I always imagined it without the singing and would inquire if they an instrumental version. I've always been a sucker for instrumentals, in all kinds of genres of music. I just like to listen to the beat, melody sound and nuances of different instruments and composition of musical notes, etc. without the singing, sometimes. When it comes to Dub, one of my all-time favs is Mickey Dread's "Heavy-Weight Dub (Dub / Instrumental Reggae Music)" I was 11 years-old...Just one of the Dub instrumentals that always stayed with me / never went out of the recesses of my mind and I eventually traced (took years, as never knew the name of track) it down years and years later. I'd say similar has happened to a lot of people. I recently discovered a remix of same and I actually love it... You could say there's a *psychedelic element to this particular version. Not messing when I say that. I love it: "Mikey Dread - Heavy Weight Sound Dub (FLeCK & Blue Hill remix)" - A psychedelic vibe to this remix, as far as I'm concerned :-) If anyone is interested, both of the above tracks are also here on KZbin, by the way and I've copied the text instead of links, as they don't always work, now. *Earphones* turned up ...for a more crisp hearing experience... all the nooks and crannies, base in, base out, etc ... Yeahhh! Anyway, just a little ramble from me.
