you're right, this is very much a clapback to their haters - and it's well-earned. their whole NOEASY album is basically their "Reputation" era lol. over the past three years they've gotten a TON of hate and criticism for their sound. people have derided their music as "noisy", "ear-destroying", "construction music", and my personal favorite: "transformers BDSM". 😂 so in this song, they're doubling down on their "noisy" identity and embracing those insults as things to be proud of. as Chan said once, "Yeah, it IS 'construction music', because...we *construct our own music."* Stray Kids aren't just anyone, they are the *Thunderous Ones,* they are SORIKKUN - which more literally translates to "Sound Masters" - and they are here to shake up your world! 🤘⚡⚡

I think the best yet was the recent one when Stays took all the chaotic stuff SKZ has said and changed it to another very popular group as saying it. I think it's pretty accurate that this is going to their haters, I mean the album itself is basically a 'screw you' to their haters many haters have been calling stray kids's music as noisy, so they said SIKE and named the album noeasy and one of the song in this album, cheese, is just a direct call out to their haters its awesome

I recommend Scars, now it’s one of their Japanese songs so those don’t get subs, but if you watch the lyric video first it will help you understand the lyrics so you can concentrate on the video. I recommend this every time even if they do have subs because the videos are so overwhelming.

I love how you take a second to really try and understand the lyrics (even if you get understandably distracted, I mean same haha). With Thunderous especially they incorporated a lot of traditional Korean aspects (instruments, folklore, and pansori, or traditional storytelling). I get you with the whole making a change thing. Back when I was younger I was a total wallflower around strangers. Because I’m an old there wasn’t an awareness back then of terms like social anxiety so I just called it being painfully shy. I reached a point where I was tired of having my quietness determined by fear rather than my own choice, so I started giving myself occasional assignments. I’d say, you’re going to be around these sorts of people tomorrow, so you are going to talk this way, act out a role, etc. For instance, walking into the room pretending like I was Ms Popular Queen of the World and talking to people with a chatty vibe. And it would go well, I would survive. It was exhausting but I learned a lot. Still an introvert with social anxiety but I have a lot more control over how I interact with people and a lot more confidence.

Loved your reaction. I need to watch a new Stray Kids video also several times, until I am able to take it all in. It feels like getting attacked on all fronts. Sound, lyrics, visuals, choreography, cinematography. It hits you and it’s overwhelming. Thank you for peeling away some of those layers and looking into the things that are hidden under the surface of gorgeous visuals and bombastic sound. With Stray Kids you can be certain, there’s always something very interesting to find. People who are not afraid to speak the truth and stand up for what they believe in, are easy to attack. Especially on the Internet, where you can hide behind a fake picture and a made up username. But also the strength that you bring, when you stand up for yourself, it’s something that the haters under estimate. So they get an album like Noeasy and a song like Thunderous thrown at them. That must hurt… And I am all here for it.

So many suggested songs, I agree with all of them. Mix tape Oh was the first glimpse we had of Hyunjin after hiatus, very quickly followed by Play with Fire. Red Lights deals with obsessive behavior and is so compelling. I am a Bang Chan bias and was beside myself with Kingdom's Wolfgang, Bang Chan appaently walks around their apartment half naked😏. I have forgotten which video shows them but our baby IN has a chocolate bar and a half in the abs department. In God's Du Du Du he was supposed to show them off but still isn't comfortable showing himself on stage. Thanks for peeling the layers and finding the deeper meanings in the videos you react to. Chris surrendered most of his shirt budget during Kingdom era this year, and since then he's pretty much never wearing more than half of a shirt in any major performance.
