Hi there! My daughter in law recently bought a couple jumpsuits like this while on vacation and I fell in love with them! I realize this is an older tutorial but I was wondering - how wide was your fabric before all the cutting? 45" wide? 60" wide? I have some fabric in mind for this but might need to adjust some measurements depending on the fabric width.

Ok just to clarify what was your shoulder to desired length, and your horizontal width? Meaning your hip width

How much would this much fabric cost? I think you’re from the US but if you could give a rough number thatd be very helpful! Thanks

When you say at 5:05 that it has to be 36" wide, is that folded in half? It looks like it when you cut. But I did everything you did, and folded in half, mine is 32" without cutting anything off. Will it still work?

My first project, so when you said to get 3 yards of fabric, I assumed there was some standard for the other dimension and Joanne fabrics would give me what I needed. But now I'm not sure, how wide was your piece when you started?

@@upcycle2upscalewmalanda253 True. Maybe an expensive one. But that would kinda defeat the purpose, huh? Cheap sheet might be good for around the house jumper. Look forward to more DIYs. Thanks.

Um i dont really understand why not just make the pattern and sew it together INSTEAD of cut, sew a piece, flip, cut, sew etc etc etc... Is it not possible?

Can you tell us how tall you are? I’m tiny so I guess I could get away with less fabric, but I’d still have to adjust the measurements so the pockets don’t end up on my knees 😂

@@upcycle2upscalewmalanda253 haha, I'm 5'1! Those pockets will definitely need adjusting :D I've used the fabric I was intending for this project on another one, but once the pandemic eases up in my country I'm hoping to be able to go shopping again :)

untrouble316 at this time you are working with a big rectangle. The width of the rectangle needs to be 36 inches so your cutting off the few extra inches after that. Let me know if you have any questions. Send me a pic once your done.

@upcycle2upscalewmalanda253
@upcycle2upscalewmalanda253 4 жыл бұрын
Hello! thanks for the comment. But I don’t have a pattern to give you. This look is very simple. it’s basically your fabric folded into a rectangle, sew the bottom of the rectangle closed. Then on the fold side of the rectangle find the center. Here is where you would make your slits. 1st cut is on the fold through the center, 2nd cut is in the center threw both layers of fabric, still on the folded side, your cutting down a few inches towards the sewn side. The cuts are for your arms and neck. Here is were you would add the straps. Hope this helps let me know if you have any questions.
