Very nice content, glad you enjoyed the day in Cork City , thanks for saying such sweet things about Irish people and coming from a charming British couple it means something .

I loved Ireland this September. Cork was wonderful - as with many cities, the 'Hop On Bus' is the best start to understand the lay of the land. 💚

Great stuff guys. Hope you enjoyed trekking around our island and that people were welcoming. You seem to have gotten lucky with the weather! Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you both.

Wow, the weather was incredible! The best thing about Ireland was how welding and friendly everyone was.

This cracked me up! Spending 15 minutes with Neil waiting for Sarah to see the top of the church, then we didn't even get to see any pictures or video Sarah took while up there! :D It did make it very mysterious and now I guess I'll need to go to Cork to see what it's like! Love you guys!

Hi Neil and Sarah, another excellent video. Neil, you are like me, if something doesn't grab me and there is an admission fee then I am disinclined budget or no budget. You chose to enjoy the charming setting, sunshine and a bit of energy conservation. What many viewers won't understand is that slow travel is more about feeling and enjoying the atmosphere of a place. Too many admission spots make you the few-days-a-year-tourist. I am on the road from Honolulu 6 to 7 months a year and my biggest priority eqch day is researching where i am going to eat as you did here! Cheers Rod from Honolulu

Hi Rod! Great to hear from you. Yes, many people don't get that the slow travel world is very different to all vacation. Hope you're well 👍

There is a helluva lot more to see in Cork City, and also Cork county..its very a large county. Ye will just have to do a longer return visit guys. The English market is the oldest indoor market in Europe. The fish counter ye passed O'Connels is where that gorg photo of the late and lovely Queen Elizabeth was taken. Fab photograph on her visit to Cork where she was welcomed with open arms as she deserved. The Farm Gate cafe in the market is amazing..ingredients come from the market itself. Ye did enter the market via a back door....the nicest entry point is I think the way ye left...walked past that beautiful fountain. Well done, Sarah, for climbing up Shandon church and ringing the bells. Sorry, but we would not allow a slide to surround such an ancient church...😂. There are 4 clock faces on the top.. They are called the 4 faced liars..cos each clock tells a different time...Cork humour for ya. Couldn't but love it. Cork is full of hills. Next time, sample our Cork..Beamish stout...Guinness ain't the only stout in Ireland. Enjoyed the video. A proud County Cork born and bed viewer.

We loved Cork too! The train was so easy.
@johndevoy5792Ай бұрын
Ha! Ye were certainly going in the 'back door' to the city market...not even sure how ye found that lane? Anyone from Cork would have to ask...what day or time were ye there to have it soooquiet and the Fram Gate to be closed Very unusual. Looked like ye were having the sandwich on a building site

@@2GoRoamTravelsLove what you're doing and it's real..don't need to justify a budget holiday. We all do the same. I've paid too often into museums or galleries only to say 'that it?😂".

A new low in your videos. At least stick to the things you actually see, and experience and not those you are too cheap to pay for.

Thanks for the feedback. You may have missed us talking about how we are changing our channel. We now make the videos that we enjoy to make and are not chasing views or subscribers. As such we totally get our videos aren't for everyone. We're retired and doing what WE love. Our earlier videos we focused on different things, more commercially viable and wider acceptance. You're not going to see that here so I really recommend not watching any more as they'll only frustrate you. All the best for 2025 and hope we have give you some entertainment along the way.

Probably put best part of €5000 into the Irish economy rather than elsewhere?
