As a teen, I had friends come and tell me about a crime they committed. They said they got high and listened to a song I made on repeat, then they did what they did. That's when I realized the seriousness of what I put on records. What was creative expression for me was evil influence on them. I would have personally told them not to do it, but my music influenced them to. From that day on, music became just a hobby and no longer a career goal. I didn't want that level of influence.

Black consumers already consume a ton of media as is. Our time should be allocated towards other economic fields of interest.
