Hey Skybelle!! Remember western lifestyle has screwed up the mind of both black men and women. I've am married for 14yrs 6 wonderful children. We plan on having more. My wife is excellent and we're both trying to go back to this life because this is why we're happily married for so long and will be much longer. I only knew her 6mo before we got married and even though we spend every waking minute with our children we can't get enough of eachother

Their system Is almost similar anywhere in Ghana but since they are far to the north and far away from the south and its excesses, they have been able to maintain a lot of their cultural norms. For most Ghanaians, the moment they venture into the big cities, they abandon their traditions

This is his perspective and many may not agree at 16 I was playing sports working going to school not even thinking of marriage let alone having children to each his own if your parents think like him they will raise you like that and otherwise some love this life and others it won't work for such as myself I really feel in this day education is very important before marriage because times has changed around the world I also believe do what works for you 💖💖💖 thanks for another great video

Hi Sky belle, quite interesting, sadly a woman looked at as not wife material due to her increased educational backgrounds and also age. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with women knowing their right. All the same very interesting

Yes it’s a sad reality and I hope they adjust to allow women finish schooling

Africa tradition is the best. When am ready to marry, it would be through my African way.

A lot of us women are coming from the west with progressive and feminist mindsets. We have fought for our rights and privileges to get to where we’re at. I read somewhere a man said AA women are going to have a hard time adjusting to dating and marrying in Africa. It’s going to be easier for AA men. Well us AA women are used to adjusting and making a way. Stay positive ladies lol

Soo true, a lot of what he said were really different and although I May not agree I was still curious to know

Some AA women will adjust, cause in Africa it's about spirituality and it is what connect us to the land, and they will adjust,I was reading that a A A woman just became the second wife of a village chief,so there is hope after they leave the plantation,

You can get married and go to school is basically decide between the husband and wife. It is not true that you drop out of school because of house choice, am so sorry that that man does not know what he is talking about. He module up there.

I can tell Sky does not agree with the guy talking but she handles it well. Yes why the guy is saying is unfortunate, but progress is a slow process...

I’m sorry Skybelle but the mentality and words of this guy is quite disturbing honestly! A woman is shamed becos she knows her right and is educated! I can’t stand for that. Respect to them but this is soo backwards and problematic

Some of this may not be right to those of us who lost our traditional values, but I don't think we have any right to criticize these people traditional way of life, it's their culture, and who to tell if you who are condemning these types of thing, werent in involved before the enslavement of the continent, those people ain't fool,if they don't like it they moved to the cities or other part of the continent,

While I really respect African culture, I disagree with his views! His terminology is quite jarring to put it nicely. A feminist in this society is doomed!

There’s no such thing as “African culture” there’s many cultures in Africa, even within countries

This has nothing to do with Islam!!! It is more of their cultural influence. In Islam a woman is to be educated because she is the foundation of the house. You are not to work to feed yourself because it’s the responsibility of the husband. If you choose to work then whatever you make is for you alone. Your money is yours alone and your husband’s money is for you all!!

It's true that prophet Muhammad, may peace be upon him married 4 wife's, but not 9 wife. He did not get his fact right .

Actually the prophet (S.A. W) had 11 wives. He had kids with only two of them.

I respect their their tradition. 90% of their marriages are always successful, not like akans or so called "Christians" these days in ghana.
