Well done shannon its a great achievement you have wanted to do now you have your first hopefully many more i drive my 770s from Scotland to milan with my fridge freezer of fresh salmon. The roads all over Europe are in good shape Romania is a bit hit and miss like uk and as long as you fill up well south of north france you are ok your truck did well and she pulled up them mountains i like the services in most Europe uk needs a lot to be desired now gyou have this done where in Europe do you go next . I am going from Invergordon an alness in Scotland to madrid and alicante next week and remember get a toll box save dane all ghat hassle at tolls your now a long haul trucker

The roads in Europe are much better than the roads in the UK but what makes me laugh is your vehicle's have to have a MOT as roadworthy but the roads are not roadworthy to have vehicles on them

Good job on your first Continental run!! Saddens me to see/hear the decline of quality of life in UK. Not just roads but services and people generally taking a little pride in their work. I follow several truckers (female) who drive in Europe exclusively and while they have the odd complaint overall they seem to have an easier go of it. Mind you, roads in USA are worse than UK so I feel your pain!!

Hey kidda great vids on yr first italian trip was superb ur a natural at it i was shittin myself first time i went to italy all the stories of italian police wanting bribes and money all the time . But i managed to escape all that . And u got fixed up with great food spots too . The curtain bitch did a great job . Haha quicker dane gets his hgv the better ur hair in the handryer was hilarious looked like ud stuck ur fingers in an electric socket haha . All the best shazz and dane . The smile on your face said it all at the end of the video , plus your wingman was ace to, lucky no "undesireables" in the trailer, tilt cord and angles morts badges needed and a warning triangle next trip along with a toll box and your sorted,. Spare wheels on trailer to if youve got them as a blowout in eu is silly money for callout ,.be interesting to what all your expenses add up to on this trip, people havnt a clue what it costs to run a truck and that includes drivers, must have run into £2000+ mark with fuel and tolls, add your wage to, briliant job both,.!

At 32:00 - awoud sea sicknes by looking at the sky-line all the time dont look at the waterline - because then you can see the movement, but if you look at the sky.line yer dont see the waterline and the movement.

On route for class 1 licence soon, I am getting very tempted for EU/TIR driving as I enjoy working alone but can operate in teams/ pairing and operated long distance before. However, I do think getting experience driving in the UK and the size maybe important first. Any advice is appreciated.

David doesn’t have a clue about running a business clearly. The key is to make money and using the blanc and all motorways in France with toll charges is ridiculous. You can do the same trip using the Simplon in Swiss via besancon and pontarlier in France for a fraction on the cost and then use the ghottard on the return journey

If we all agree we want road surfaces as good as across the water, would we agree to £500 worth of tolls a week to fund it? Then £30/40 a week on our cars? #carefulwhatwewishfor I do however believe that any foreign vehicles entering the UK should pay pro rata’d road tax for their visit to put everyone on the same level, which would potentially raise a bob or 2 for better road surfaces.
