I remember when I was tuning my Series II Li150 back in 1968... Ancilotti oversized piston with the barrel bored out to 180cc, ports polished and timing advanced. Standard crankshaft with cork Araldited into the holes in the webs to increase primary compression, which I see your crankshaft has been designed to do. That thing would exceed 80mph, and could get 150 mpg if you didn't rag it! Ancilotti exhaust, TV175 gears, 24mm DellOrto carburettor, SX200 crankcase pivot and bearings (got rid of a lot of vibration, improved stability - as I've just noticed you have!)... this is bringing back a lot of memories, thanks!

Watched the 'barn find' series first - my 1961 Li150 Series II 'Widestyle' was almost identical when I bought it in 1968, stripped it down to bare metal, repainted and rebuilt it. Then I set about changing stuff to upgrade it. One of the more unusual parts was the front mudguard... I managed to find a 'slimstyle' fibreglass replacement for the big bucket, specifically made for the Series II 'widestyle', and I've never seen another!

Blew cobwebs off my memory watching your rebuild of that engine . Mine was an SX150 that had a TV 175 piston barrel ported and head polished with GT 200 gearbox and 30mm Delorto. Unfortunately ceased the engine over taken a bus at speed , damage was that l never rebuilt the crank and it had been left out in the back garden of friends for 6 month's with the barrle removed and rust must have got onto the big end bearings. My mom and dad were fantastic, l rebuilt that engine in my bedroom and it was kept on steel tray under my bed 😂😂😂😂 Excellent videos keep em comming please 🙏

Your video appeared in my feed. I loved it. I have never seen a lambretta in the US, I do occasionally see a Vespa. But other than the 60’s vintage 2-stroke that my brother restored, most are the modern four-stroke models. I was amused by your welding skills when sorting the leg shield, but then genuinely impressed with your repair of the outriggers. I am always worried about blow-through when welding on such rusted material. Thank you for the video.

Iv done a few tanks with white vinegar and always had good results… you need to leave in at lest a week or maybe 2 .. you can leave it as long as you what it won’t harm the good steel it will only desolve the rust/oxide… don’t forget you have to jet wash it all out… and then put some petrol/oil mix straight away to stop it rusting again .. Ps yes I did think about using the seat again with a new cover but the snetterton came up and i couldn’t resist!… nothing (good) gets thrown away … the seat will be used again…
