15000!!!! Awesome! Makes it sound more like a 750, more like a deep grunt.

Ive got a jardine gp1 and was way too loud for my liking as well as my neighbors when heading to work at 5:30am. So i bought a stock exhaust from ebay. Now i want something in-between the loud pipes and something a little more than stock. Whats your thoughts on this?
@therep49er3 жыл бұрын
This is NOT a quiet exausht. However, I wanted something loud so I would be heard when riding. Where I used to live, houses were pretty close together. I would always push my bike out near the street when starting it early in the morning so it wasn't so close to my neighbor. I did this for over a year, he never complained about the noise even when I asked about it. I was doing my best to be courteous to my neighbors as well. I wasn't too far from the corner, so I always slow rolled to the corner to keep it quiet. All that being said, anyone that rides with me (especially on my right/exhaust side) says "Damn!!! It sounds good but it is SO loud!" And on a long ride, it might leave your ears ringing. I absolutely LOVE this setup. But I am a little bias because this is the only aftermarket exhaust I have ever used on my bike. Hope this helps you a little with making a decision. Side note, this is FAR quieter than a TOCE exhaust. And in my personal opinion, sounds WAY nicer too.

jakesta104 Thanks for the compliment! I did not see it until now. As far as your bike, all that matters is you love riding it and it is in safe working condition. For the exhaust, it shouldn't be too hard. I don't know if Coffman makes one for a 250. I do know that Yoshimura makes 250 exhaust systems. But you will pay a premium for it. Thanks for the comment and watching the video!

What area do you ride in? There are a ton of groups on Facebook that usually have a ton of riders that can point you in the right direction. I am in Michigan, I am in 4 groups on FB that tue riders have given me some pretty damn good tips.

Group rides are fun... When you are riding with a good group. We have a ton of wheeltards (retarded drivers) here as well. How long have you been riding? My best advice is to always keep your head and eyes moving, don't get fixated on one spot or object and get a GoPro on your helmet. If anything ever happens... Videos don't lie. Also, to ward off tailgaters I constantly swerve in my own lane. If the other drivers think I am retarded that is what I want lol. People tend to stay away from what they think is a mistake about to happen lol.

Still on the bike today! It is loud. Takes a little getting used to. But it still sounds as good as day one. Definitely a purchase that was worth the money in my opinion.

I am not sure if anything additional is required for a 1000 with Coffman or not? I know it went on extremely easy on my 600. And they were super fast shipping directly from their site, customer service with answering questions was great too! Here is the link directly into their Suzuki section for exhausts. www.mcssl.com/store/coffmansexhaustsystems/suzuki

No. Took the old exhaust off, slipped the new one on. Went pretty easy/fast. Still on my bike today.

I did not tune it. I have put around 13k miles on it since the exhaust and it still runs great.

did you install power commander, if not any issue when you accelerate any puffing noise?thank you
@therep49er7 жыл бұрын
hermie pua I did not install a power commander or have the bike "tuned". From the research I did prior to the install, as long as your bike does not have an O2 sensor you "should" be able to install and ride with no issues. That was the case for me. I rode immediately after installation. I did not feel any loss of power or lag. maybe a little increase in power but very little if any. No puffing or rich running unless its colder weather. I couldn't be happier with Coffman. I have put on about 5k miles after the install and it sounds great!

Your saying this as the silencer or baffle is in place right,thank you,did you try to remove the silencer or baffle any issue?
@therep49er7 жыл бұрын
I did not remove the baffle/silencer. The bike is PLENTY loud with it in. One of my buddies has a Coffman also on his CBR 600r. He removed the baffles once and said it was not much louder and liked the sound better with it in.

I'm torn between this one and M4 GP. also for 15 gixxer
@therep49er7 жыл бұрын
firewireo This is what I can tell you. I LOVE the sound of my exhaust. Some people say its an "exhaust tip". I disagree. It has baffles for noise reduction (they can be removed), in my opinion that makes it a muffler/exhaust. Dirt bikes also use exhausts with baffles in them, so why would this be any different? I don't think or believe it is. As far as making your decision, decide what you are doing with your bike in terms of "just cruising around and enjoying the ride but want a different sound" or racing the bike regularly. If you are just cruising around like me then Coffman's are an affordable great sounding exhaust. I get a few compliments on the sound here and there in my travels. If you are going to race it regularly, you will want a more performance based exhaust along with some other upgrades to keep your bikes performance where it should be. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Is it legal and can get it pass inspection ?
@therep49er3 жыл бұрын
I guess that depends on the State you live in. In MI we don't have to do inspections. And, it is legal. But, Coffman should have some better info and an answer to that question on their website. www.coffmansexhaust.com/

Do you have to a link pipe or what
@therep49er4 жыл бұрын
No mid pipe or links needed with this exhaust on this bike. It is a slip on exhaust. Just take off the OEM exhaust and put this one in its place. I have had this Coffman exhaust on my bike for a few years now. Still love the sound! It is really loud though.
