This is the strangest Desi Todi I have heard in nearly 60 years of being a Hindustani music aficianado. Musicians have used both dhaivats, but here teevra madhyam and komal rishabh also appears repeatedly, which I have never heard before being used in Desi Todi. Any information about the origin of this bandish would be appreciated.

He’s doing strange moves at around 3:48 and 4:22 - not quiet Desi. But he’s his own master!

Yes indeed! This is a very strange Desi, almost seems like there’s a different raga blended with it but i can’t put a finger on it.

A very uncommon variation of Desi. A treasure as always. Probably from around the same time as the recordings in the Swaradhiraaj album.

Indeed, use of both Re, Ma and Dha, makes very peculiar approach of Desi Todi
