I m Udai Shankar Ghosh from kota Raj. ... I listened his sitar recital first time in 1983 Jan ... during watching recital ... i was whole time wandering in an open sky or moving under deep oceans ... as i was feeling .... once in an interview .... great sitarist...Ustad Shujat Hussain Khan said ... he has drunk the style of ustad Vilayat Khan ... but i feel .... he has maintained the purity of indian classical music more Pt. Ravi Shankar and Ustad Vilayat Khan ..... i dont know ... how much i m right .... but listening his every recital .... appears tears in my eyes .... .... .... this 31st comment on 4th Jan 2024 ..... Pt. BUDHADITYA MUKHERJEE is ALL TIME FAVORITE TO ME..... MAY GOD BLESS HIM A VERY VERY LONG JOURNEY I N HIS MOTTO..... !

Not quite. He has made numerous technical innovations which make for a smoother and more structured presentation. (I am not saying he is better or that he is not heavily influenced by vk, but rather that he has advanced that style in ways that sitar insiders understand very well.)

PBM can do only better good copy of UVK. PBM isn't capable of creating his own style and not able to play in all different speeds like UVK.
