Though only for once, it was and still remains as one most thrilling and spellbounding experience for me to hear Kumar ji live at Kolkata. It was a 6 day program "Malkaunsh Samaroha" organized by Kalasangam at Kalamandir, Kolkata, sometime during 1985 - 86. It was my lifetime experience, indeed, the splendor of which remains for ever.

Its a shloka from Tulsidas' "Ramcharitmanas". The entire thing is as follows: देखराबा मातहिं निज अद्भुत रूप अखंड। रोम रोम प्रति लगो कोटि कोटि ब्रह्माँड॥ अगनित रवि शशि सिव चतुरानन। बहुगिरि सरित सिंधु महिकानन॥ काल कर्म गुन ग्यान सुभाऊ। सोउ देखा जो सुना न काऊ॥ It describes the vishwaroop/viratroop darshan given by a young Lord Ram to his mother Kaushalya.

The shloka is very concise but here is what it means in essence: देखराबा मातहिं निज अद्भुत रूप अखंड। The real infinite phenomenal form was revealed to His mother. रोम रोम प्रति लगो कोटि कोटि ब्रह्माँड॥ In every pore of the body millions of universes. अगनित रवि शशि सिव चतुरानन। Innumerable suns, moons, Shiva, Brahma, बहुगिरि सरित सिंधु महिकानन॥ Innumerable mountains, rivers, oceans, lands, forests, काल कर्म गुन ग्यान सुभाऊ। Time, (Karma)action, attributes(Tri Gunas), knowledge(of the absolute), personal attributes(Swabhav). सोउ देखा जो सुना न काऊ॥ And I witnessed things never before heard of by anyone. This is what it roughly means but of course since the shloka was written by an enlightened person only another enlightened person can truly decode and explain its esoteric meaning.

@@yamini6503, a friend/disciple of late maya rao and vijay sardeshmukhji , both direct disciples of kumar ji, explained the meaning- he said Mother Kaushalya, Ram lalla's mother, looked into his mouth and this is what she saw- vishwabrahmanda. It's from Ramacharita manas it seems.
