Pandit Bhimsen Joshi that Ustad Rashid Khan from gennxt will carry the flag of Khyal gayaki. Mukul Komakali in spite of being so close to him, he didn't mention Mukul's name. Why? Shapit Gandharv?

It's a treat, very elaborate aalap and initially singing near Shadja and very very slowly elaborating the raag..like subtly touching the main jaijaiwanti notes..that was a treat to hear

Wow. What a presentation! 'Sun le manaa' felt like he was singing to his inner soul, absent of any other listener. Sheer bliss - unhurried, meandering, intoxicating and all consuming. I just got enveloped by the swaras and carried away. Mukul is without a shadow of doubt the greatest living exponent in the Hindustani tradition, and one of the best ever. Thank you hemant krishna for sharing this...lajawab!

Most elaborate jaijaiwanti since Bhim dada NCPA recording...unconventional yet classical, elements of Faiyaz Khan Saheb, Kumarji and Karim Khan...maalikarjunji...Modern maestro...I would like to listen to panditji singing Jog with a dhrupad based alap.
