The children’s home Ptea Clara in Cambodia, in connection with the association From one family to another in France focuses on two major challenges.
The first one is to help Khmer families send their children to school or take care of the younger children so that mothers can go out to work. In this case, the children come back to their home. Ptea Clara provides a school kit and tutoring to the older children, for the youngest, it plays a day-care role. More than 80 children are helped under this community program.
The second challenge is to welcome around fifty children in care, abandoned or at risk in families in great social distress, children who are not supported by local institutions. Ptea Clara provides them accommodation, food, education and health care. The younger children benefits from nannies who care for their emotional development. The older ones go to school.
The recent expansion of our offices enables children, whether resident or not, to receive tutoring (mathematics, Khmer, English and IT) in suitable premises. When the family situation becomes favorable again, following an investigation by our association and the Ministry of Social Action, the children leave Ptea Clara to come back to their family.
All Ptea Clara’s operating cost and project are funded by sponsorships and donations from private individuals and companies, through the French association From one family to another. It is thanks to your current and future donations that we can continue to ensure the children’s daily lives.
Thank you for your help.
