Just build a stone trap 7 spaces 2 pillars high (14 pillars) use the second snap point so a Pteranodon fit through it. Place about 9 stone ceilings on top and a dino gate at the entrance. Really youtube search Argy traps this is the most common one. Just lure an Argie with your Pteronodon jump off and close the gate. Using a chain bola is just a waste of resources IMO

Liam Hart I’m ok, but thank you for asking. 😘😘😘 I should not complain: I have no consoles or even a laptop that can handle Ark. been watching people play it from the very start tho. I assumed I would probably always just be watching people play it. And then..... it came to mobile [angelic choir sounds of prayers answered] So now I get to play it on my ipad. Am I frustrated that it’s a severely watered down version of the game? Yes. Definitely yes. But hey..... at least I get to play SOME version. And boy.... it’s still pretty immersive (except the under water stuff, fuck the under water graphics, it’s shit)

Liam Hart Oh, sorry, if you were asking if I was a good player? Fuck no. I’m.... eh, average? Noobish? Also, I only do single player. I get too attached to my tames to have other people slaughter them. Also, I hate using too much advanced stuff. I prefer a compound bow over the guns (accept for using the darts to tame the more difficult shit). And I just installed electricity in my base, and I fucking hate it. The constant noise destroying my castle black/fortress of solitude atmosphere. But fuck... I needed fridges. So yeah. I don’t think I would be much fun to play with 🤷🏽‍♀️

Leveled up a wyvern I had lying around. Put all the points into his weight and stamina. He is now my pack mule. Picking up an Anky fully loaded with metal is SO MUCH FASTER than going back and forth on an Argie. Gathering is much safer now as well as I can just eat the face off of anything that's coming at me.. If you have an ugly, extra wyvern, I highly recommend doing it too!

It took me a LOOONG time before I tamed my first wyvern, I've been playing ark since before scorched earth was added, but the first wyvern I ever tamed was a frost wyvern on valguero, and I've got to say they are some of the most versatile creatures in the entire game. Great for carrying resources, great for killing dinos, and *amazing* for getting around the map

Tip: For those wanting the best creature IMO to go Wyvern Egg hunting I would say a Snow Owl. They can outrun Wyverns when diving and have a lot of Stamina. They can also heal you if you survive a Poison Wyvern Breath attack. If you breed and imprint them well they can kill 1-2 wyverns at once usually pretty easily if you can take advantage of the Wyverns slow turn radius minimizing most damage that the wyvern can deal to you. They also get a speed buff upon imprinting which just makes things even easier. When diving if you hit the ground right where your Owl is running you can take off again and get a lot of speed and it feels like it is even more than a normal glide. My only real issue when I am fighting multiple Wyverns are Lightning Wyverns so I have to be careful since they can chop your health down really fast. I also love Owls because they are great taming aids. They can heal creatures in your taming trap which makes most creatures that before that couldn't be tamed with a crossbow due to higher torpidity than health much easier to tame.

i heavily disagree with the statement of "dont waste your time with auto-turrets" for a few reasons. first off, heavy turrets require auto turrets in their recipe and you can pick up turrets at will, so theres no reason why you cant use auto turrets until you unlock heavies and upgrade them once you unlock it. which brings me to my second point. heavies require lvl 100 to craft. that is quite a bit of time you would be going without any base defenses at all unless you are an experienced player who knows how to power level, which this vid is clearly not aimed at. you should always atleast set up a few turrets to prevent any noob from just walking up to your base with some c4. it will at the very least raise the bar of the types of players who are capable of raiding you which cant help you live another day to grind for heavies

2:44 "Loot drops will give you loads of good gear"...if you consider compass BPs good gear XD It's something WildCard has never really balanced correctly, sadly ! It should be allowed to trade 10 compass BPs for actual loot or something. To players reaching midgame, I recommend skipping white/green loot drops entirely, unless they have a ring maybe. Never worth the time.

I would like to say that the chainsaw was a huge game changer for me and as soon as I start a new area that's one of my goals I'm not sure if I'd call that a mid game tool or not but I got one from a supply drop and once I figured out how to use it (looked it up lol) I couldn't believe how good it was and was devastated when it broke

I've started my journey to try and beat all of the story maps, and so far I haven't necessarily had a lot of difficulty getting these mid-game resources. The hardest part was probably the polymer followed by the cementing Paste but the electronics are never going to really be an issue for me when I get my tech parasaur breeding ring going. The cementing pace is no issue because he just go into the swamp cave on the island with a beezlebufo while using the bug repellent and you can pretty much get as much cementing Paste as you want as long as you can get out of there. The polymer was the hardest because the best source of polymer in the island is the kaikuru. If you can get a male and a female kaikuru and bring them back to your home you can breed them together pretty easily and pretty soon you can be breeding 10 of them at a time with one male and getting 10 kaikuru that, depending on your breeding and maturation speeds, gets you well over 20 to 50 organic polymer every kaikuru as long as you have a sword.

When I started my latest playthrough, I tamed just a bunch of yuties early on to sit on my backyard. Yuti is the easiest and most reliable way to get special eggs for Extraordinary kibble which you can use to tame anything that a food can tame.. And after that, Yuti is a top tier meat gatherer, which is great if you need to feed Daeodon after a bossfight to heal your dinos.. I mean, rexes can do that too, but Yuti is just so much faster at travelling.

PvP'r here! You don't want to have only auto or only heavies or only tek turrets. Autos will prioritize players and explosives such as rockets, autos are the only turret that does this. So if your wall is only heavies or tek then someone can just stand far enough away and shoot rockets at your wall no problem. Heavies are the main turret you wanna have as they are the most damaging and as said in the video, people will have a very difficult time flak running them. Finally, tek turrets, like heavies, don't prioritize, but they do deal splash damage. They also do INSANE knockback in the lunar biome on gen

So im pretty new to ark and dont know if this is useful but I personally made a farm building where i have tech dino lined up above a cage filled with penguins who heat up their eggs and are all mate boosted then i just go in there with a duck kill all the babies and get botomless polymer and electronics and element. Two birds one stone But yeah penguins heat up the area around them so if you get enough penguins its hot enougg to bjrth any egg except like wyvern or something really hot

In my opinion the best base building dinos are: doed, anky, beaver, the giant ape, parasur and bronto. Doed:stone(if you have a grinder you can convert some of that unwanted stone to flint Anky:metal and flint Beaver:wood Ape:fiber gather(set on wondering and a body guard(rex) if you live in a dangerous area. Parasaur: berry farming(might have lower gathering efficiently but its more mobile than a stego,trike.perfect for making 100 narcotics in like 10 to 20 minutes. Bronto:mainly i use it for thatch gathering and also gathers a good amount of narco berries so i can take them with me and building and farm narcotics

@@herresent7203 well yea. I use magmasaurs somtumes for metal. Mostly for crystal and obs on the ragnarok volcano. Therios are good but i prefer a bronto and beaver. I could also drop all the materials on to its inventory and craft items in high amounts

Hold on, autos are still useful, they help slow down the raid, granted you want like tons of heavies yes.
