I can not understand it. How can a plastic trumpet have a original trumpet tone. It's not messing,but plastic.

Of course the air column is most important but I supposed that if you blew really hard, the plastic would start to resonate and give a plastic color to the tone. Today I bought one and somehow it feels like the plastic doesn't vibrate at all and the tone is nice but less rich than brass. A listener called it "less feeling, a bit dead" There is also less volume which I only noticed playing with a practice mute in it. But still amazing...it in some ways plays even easier than a real one.

Any place that sells these things loses ethics points. They demonstrate that any tube will produce a series of partials but they sound like crap and are useless musically. No they're not "good for beginners". A real trumpet made out of brass that's capable of sounding better as you get better is good for beginners. They exist to separate people from their money because of people's predisposition to spend money on colorful plastic junk.

No. This is fantastic for a family that can't afford to buy a brass trumpet for their 6th grader, and this absolutely didn't sound "useless musically."

This thing is excellent for beginners, especially for kids as a decent trumpet costs a lot more than this and if your kid decides he/she doesn't want to play it after all, you have only spent 150 for it and it is not as big of a loss. Also when your kid shows that he/she is really into it, it will also make you much more likely to support them with a better instrument in the future.

A real trumpet made out of brass that's capable of sounding better as you get better is good for beginners. The greatest players didn't start on plastic trumpets, they started on real trumpets. Plastic trumpets are garbage. Period.
