I’m sorry to bother, I have had 2 PTSD C&P exams and from what I can tell the examiner noted 4 symptoms from the 30% and 5 from the 50% criteria, by law is the VA supposed to grant the higher rating?

Very nice explanation of my symptoms. I was diagnosed in 2004 with PTSD. I was later moved to Major Depressive Disorder 30 percent. I was under rated for 16 years.

My husband was arrested for drugs and discharged with dishonorable charges while in Vietnam. His case was overturned when they found out that his superiors set him up. He suffered from ptsd, depression and anxiety. He never received his honorable discharge payment even after the case was over. Can he file for ptsd etc, for such a traumatic experience?

My PTSD started being Assaulted at 2 AM sleeping aboard ship when I was sound asleep..the Assailent escaped but he drew blood and Hospital Corpsman sewed my face up and never caught whoever did this. I have other issues they may tie into this such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea with Cpac. DIABETES II, etc

If I wanted to get a statement from my employer concerning my work performance, what would be some key questions to ask them about me to help formulate their statement?

I took a early disability retirement, my company wrote me leader explain my work ethics along with the amount of work I missed due to my condition. I got my social security disability and early retirement, I just won my VA veterans appeal court the other day, I don't know my rating as of yet. Yes I think my letter from my employer helped along with letters of people I served with.

a doctor in the navy hospital diagnosed me with multiple sclerosis. the va rated me @ 30% for it. i went to doctors to prove i didnt have ms. i got the neurologist in the va show proof i do not have ms. just because the symptoms caused my eyes to get fucked up back then doesnt mean i suffer from the disease. i do not have ms. the va just reviewed my file and still rated me 30% for multiple sclerosis.

See, I don't know how this would work with ADHD where the PTSD is rated at 40 and 60 but no mental anxiety as the loudest emotional response. The physical and scientific would be PTSD, but even the brain does not properly respond to say the ADHD medications for PTSD and ADHD combined. Yet the cortisol levels go through the roof on measuring scales used by military physics.

If a vet is diagnosed with PTSD and gets rated at whatever percent, can the VA then lower that rating later on if therapy has helped the vet to get over his PTSD symptoms?
@chino20372 жыл бұрын
Anytime there is ANY improvement in any service connected condition VA can and WILL REDUCE the rating.

I’m sorry to bother you. However I’m curious as to where I’m sitting with my first C&P exam. They marked me in the 10% category for the social and work impairment. However the examiner noted highly constricted affect, disturbances of motivation and mood; difficulty in establishing and maintaining effective work and social relationships, depressed mood, anxiety, suspiciousness, panic attacks (weekly or less often). Do you think I’m sitting at a 10% rating with this criteria or does the rating board look at the overall symptoms as well as buddy statements and the PCL5? For PCL5 I have a score of 55. Thank you in advance.

Great information. The constantly saying "um" was a little distracting for me. But excellent information. Thank you.
