Pentatonix is a living example of my personal motto: "Celebrate Diversity!" Diversity not just in who they are, but also in their musical arrangements. Never thought I'd comment on a PTX song this way, but here goes: My 2yr-old son is enchanted by this song! :)) Seriously. I've been an fan of PTX for several years. Having followed their work irregularly, I discovered this song only recently and ever since I've been playing it quite often (or non-stop when alone), sometimes repeatedly. The version is breathtakingly uplifting and triumphant, yet modest and with abundant sensibility. I'm not gonna complicate interpreting my son's impressions - listening to it he's so calm, but somewhere after the 3rd replay he becomes so focused on facial expressions and body movements he starts imitating you, guys, and even tries to sing along! :) And he doesn't do that much often or with just any artist that may come along. Raising him and watching him grow has been a mix of joy, fear, resolve, pride... He's my prime motive to be the best man I possibly can... Pretty much the usual, I guess :) But I'm so happy that your work, among other things, stimulates his expressiveness. I only hope that, as he grows up and develops, he'll grow seriously fond of PTX. Thank you, all only the best to you all.
