This was my first experience with Pentatonix(years ago-I just go back and revisit this video time and time again). I get shivers every time I watch this video. How can they all be so perfect??? The pitch, the harmony, the rhythm-each different with so much power in their styles and voices. I just can't pick a favorite out of them I love them all the same. Lots of comments about how these people look, and how they sound perfect. Auto tuned or not, processed a lot or a little, their sound seems sterile and robotic to me. I get why they appeal to many, but I'll take an imperfect human voice, that can convey emotion, any day. Artistry is not in mimicking digital perfection in my opinion.

What's remarkable about this song is that it was written by a secularist, though a deeply spiritual one, who drew imagery from the Bible -- in particular the life of King David, along with implied references to Bathsheba, Samson and Delilah -- to create a song of universal themes. I just got home from the PTX concert in Dallas. To all the know it alls who say Scott can't sing this bass line, and that it is overproduced and autotuned, you are wrong. The live version sounded EXACTLY like this. Scott does sing the bass while Avi sings his solo. Not as loud or as strong as Avi, but pretty damn close. Their performance was amazing. I was sitting near Scott's and Mitch's parents, btw. They looked as star struck as the rest of us, lol.
