CDome I think you might underestimate these bots. If they are trained on all data players generate, they might be able to mimic recoil control and reaction times as well. If they do it right you might not be able to distinguish a bot from a player.

This was my thinking as well. Also, they have been pushing the teammate finder feature a lot. I think maybe they want to push people towards duo's and squads instead of solo's? I think you play the game longer/more matches if you play with a squad because the dynamic is so different. But finding a good teammate is difficult but most people dont talk. The AI bot can be an alternative for that.

8:48 It sounds like a newly added and/or updated solo version. Where 50 players go PVP as 2 "man" teams. It will significantly change how solo is played and bot farming will be a lesser thing. This is how it came across to me when hearing the dev's talk.. Time will tell.. Peace

Well, I don’t know if that AI bot would be good or bad, but sometimes I get really frustrated with the game’s chronic problems. For example, when you play with random people in a squad or duo, you often start the game with an incomplete team, which is a huge disadvantage, and PUBG doesn’t seem to care or try to fix this issue at all. All they have to do is, when one of my teammates leaves the game during the warm-up, they could just add a new player to my team who has just entered the game. But PUBG isn't interested in solving real problems, they only focus on adding new skins and stuff to squeeze more money out of players.

Call me crazy but it would be kinda fun/funny (or at least novel for a bit) to have a "commander" mode or something where everyone is a solo with 3 bot squad mates and winning ends up being about ordering the bots around well.

there are bot teams now in game. they will insta kill 1 or 2 of your team mates and let you kill them after that. its getting bad out there.

As someone who exclusively plays squads with 2 of my friends, not wanting to play with a random player, having a bot fill the 4th spot could be fun as we wouldn't be at as much of a disadvantage as it could at least revive knocked teammates and take some attention from the enemies. If we can talk to it as well, that could be fun for the memes, trying to make it say all kinds of stuff chatGPT-style

AI thing... if it ever becomes integral part of normal matches I'll probably just stop playing. No matter how good it will emulate a player, it's a bot. I don't play this game to shoot bots. I'd even prefer current idiot bots than the 'smart' ones. Luckily, right now I see maybe 1 bot per 10 games (depending which friends I play with). Better to play a map with only 30 real players and no bots, than to have extra 70 bots just for the sake of having full lobby. If I wanted to play against bots I'd just play some single player campaign FPS. As for loot truck on Sanhok... it probably means another month of Sanhok in rotation. I don't know what devs are thinking (or drinking), but someone without access to any analytics I can tell that Sanhok is BY FAR most dodged map. Within first 10 seconds of countdown there's minimum 20 people instant-leaving match, sometimes starting with 70 players or less. When I play duo or squad, we leave at least 50% of matches. In squad we avoid hotdrops because it sucks when 1 of the 4 friends gets flushed and then has to sit 20 mins waiting. It's not uncommon to just eat a grenade if someone from team dies. It all just makes no sense to me why devs are doing it, but I guess Asia or TPP analytics is causing them bias (which again shouldn't because they can easily change rotations and maps for each region and mode).

AI won't matter - everyone quits maps they don't like, quit when they die, quit if you don't land on the exact house they land on (which, is dumb as fvck), quit if you don't sound off of "mic check" (even though you can go to team management or look in the botton left and literally SEE FOR YOURSELF), or quit if a team mate has a noisy mic (they could mute them... in team management!!). if anything the AI bot will just quit your team or off itself if it's based on player analytics... people are just completely aweful at playing this game. They're worried about so much other dumbass (small, unimportant) stuff and have no tactics or gun skill. all they got is "mic check" (even though they never use it) and bait tactics. They play the game like CoD every. single. time. Get smashed, and never change up their approach.
