Public debate: Transformation in higher education

UCT hosted a lively public panel discussion at the Baxter Concert Hall on 21 October 2014 titled 'The University and Society'. Sharing the panel with Dr Max Price, UCT’s Vice-Chancellor, were Professor Jonathan Jansen, Rector and Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Free State and Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng, Vice Principal: Research and Innovation at the University of South Africa. Professor Sakhela Buhlungu, dean of UCT’s Faculty of Humanities, chaired the conversation.
