That was awesome Daniel! You made the adjustments but the most important part you was in the tree. Unfortunately many of us,do the same but inclement weather moves in and confidence crashes. Start thinking about how nice it's gonna be at the truck or the house,outta that wind. We'll long story short we give up,get on down early and guess what,we'd missed that opportunity. So lesson learned is stick it out by God and give yourself the opportunity to harvest that dream buck you been working so hard to get. Like they say,"If your not in the tree or out there,you ain't killing nothing!" So hold tight that last hour,45 minutes and ya never know you might be grip'n and grin'n like Daniel there. Well done brother! I admire anyone that can camp in the bed of the truck, jump out and hunt public land and put it all together for the kill, while filming your kill!. Your move from the 1st transition line to the second paid off. If you had not moved with the gut feeling then it's possible you would have missed the chance to capitalize on this trip. Paying close attention to the younger trailing buck from the view advantage made the difference. Good hunt!

Indiana is perfect place to tag a great buck! I managed to get a 185+ inch buck this year, ranks near Iowa for lots of big bucks and few people realize this. I hunted Michigan, Iowa, KY, Penn, Florida with success in Mi. IA, PA and IN.

All I keep hearing about Indiana is quality not quantity. Terrific buck man! Way to keep moving till you found what you wanted. One of the big takeaways I gather from these channels is to stay mobile and I think seeking out those transitions is such a great way to stack the odds when hunting a new area. 👏

This year was odd with all the warmer weather than normal compared to last year’s below average weather temperatures here in North Dakota cold fronts were hard to come by and wired wind directions on good days more Wests and Easts than straight Northwest we normally get but that’s hunt 2021 in a nut shell

I shot a buck once in high grass/weeds just like that at daylight. He took off and i saw the grass moving as he ran and thought he ran about 100yds. Got down and looked for 20 minutes trying to find him. He ran maybe 40yds and i walked all around him but couldn't see him in that grass. I was way out looking for him and he was back closer to my stand the whole time. He was a big bodied deer too i just couldn't see in that grass.
