You said it right A lot of these Hunters not all but a lot of these public landowners just assume they own this certain area they'll be dick heads to you if you pull up to park somewhere before then they will literally pull up and tell you this is their spot get the hell out of here or you'll go into a Woods set up somewhere in the dark they will literally come in 30 minutes after daylight and walk to a tree stand that's somewhere by you or something like they think they own the place because they have a tree stand in that area and a lot of them don't even know that it's first come first serve I have tree stands all over public land and if I go to one and I see somewhere body in that area close to it I turn around and leave and go somewhere else hell I've came to my tree stand and actually had people sitting in and hunting instead of walking up to him and saying something about hey this is my Stan whatever blah blah blah why ruin two people's hunts by making a bunch of noise and starting to argument and maybe something bad happening I'll just back out and leave you know even though I put in the work I'm putting the tree stand up and all that that still don't mean that's my area and still don't mean I need to ruin that person's hunt it is what it is I'm always nice to people

One of THP's best videos. I don't self film (I barely juggle the regular gear I bring) but appreciate Greg walking through his camera set up. Connecting with Travis was great, I don't know if I could take the pressure of hunting with a THP member. But Greg's closing was super, it brought it back to why I follow THP. Keep it up! Here's to another 5 years and 500k viewers!!!

Love this content and what you guys are about. Hats off to Travis for helping you out getting your deer out. This episode shows what public hunting should be about and being joyful and helpful of other people success instead of lifting your nose in the air. People last year drove by me as I and 2 other buddies drug my deer out for a couple miles showing the lack of sportsmanship that is out there today. I would’ve done the same as both you guys and it makes me happy to see that people like THP and Travis are still out there! Good luck fellas!

Every time I watch a Greg video I can't help but notice how good his setup is. Whether it is turkey hunting on the ground or in a saddle up a tree it is flawless. Greg, you should do a tutorial on your gear you use (ladder sticks, saddle, safety harness, camera arm, etc.) and show how it is SUPPOSED to be positioned and setup! Everything was great! Loved the video, keep it up guys!

@@fishhappens4 The last deer I killed with a bow was shot about an inch behind the front shoulder. I thought it was a perfect shot until I saw the arrow covered in green. He was slightly quartering to me. I found him that same evening, but he suffered. And by the time I got to him, I had nothing to finish him off with. I just sat there for 30 minutes until he just gave a huge roar and started kicking. After that, I stopped hunting with a bow. That wasn’t the only reason I stopped; the heat during early bow season is just more than I care to deal with. But that event had a significant impact on me. The shot got one lung, the back of the other lung, the liver, and exited through the stomach.

What an incredible episode. The true spirit of honest hard working ethical hunters was reflected in every way. I also loved the sharing of your camera strategy. Wow. A lot goes into these. Hats off to Travis too. Those old Wisconsin boys are solid people. Ranger Reno

This has to be one of my favorite episodes. I would love to hunt the land of Nebraska looks like awesome land. I made a good friend/hunting buddy on public land. Really started as facebook friends and me not encroaching on areas he had already put boots on the ground. I think that earned his respect and now we share scouting information. I am still trying to figure this big timber country of Tennessee. I go many dots without seeing a deer.

I sometimes think that I may run into one you THP guys(or Dan Infalt) on a hunt here in Wisconsin...what an honor it'd be to personally thank you all for the things I've learned over the years/episodes. Best of luck for continued success in living the dream dudes!

That arrow zipped through that deer like a paper tuner. Good hunt! Cool to see two bow hunters working together rather than competing against each other. And I agree with the other post, I think inviting Travis on a deer or turkey hunt would be cool!

I favorite Greg hunts are turkey hunting Nebraska and when he breaks out Ol featherlite buck decoy from the 1990s and rattles in a Iowa giant in the rut on the ground with a bow with Goch filming it over Greg’s back ❤

really special video Greg, scouting with purpose, super cool camera setup, great shot, and the people aspect of it. Sometimes we (hunters) dont necessarily agree with others tactics, but, we are all in this together.

I agree with Renner you all should take him on a hunt somewhere. He is a stand up guy and helped you when he didn't have to. That is what hunting is all about. Plus with him considering his tag filled not having one in that state now. If it is a one buck state that is. Many would not do that. He seems like a good hunter and stuff like that happens. Great video as always. Good luck and shoot straight brothers!!!!

Great video. Loved seeing the dynamic with dealing with other hunters and getting the camaraderie, especially went on solo hunts.
