Public opinion: Has the monks scandal shaken your religious faith?

No one should let poor decisions by humans affect your faith in God.

It has not affected my faith in God. The Church has always had scandals. I witnessed it in my own Parish. I remember the wrong done to Fr Pancratios by the Hierarchy of the Church. If the truth were told with this present scandal, we would find out that the ‘happenings’ are with the Metropolitans, who live in palaces, are driven about in limousines, etc. Cyprus needs evangelising. From two elections for Archbishop, the people voted for Athanasius, and on both accounts, another bishop managed to end up on the throne. The Church has much corruption in it, and the people should stop giving it money. Give your money to the needy. In my village we have seven churches. Is this pleasing to God do you think? It is not, we should be looking after the poor and needy.

All those saying religion and the church are different things aren't making any sense........religion 100% comes from the church. It didn't appear on the back of a cereal packet
