What percentage of the wildlife budget does nonresident OTC tags account for? Must be a very large number... 90% of the archery hunters aren't filling a tag. I drove from Columbine to Cowdry through 161, almost every parking spot was occupied. I understand you're discussing different units, but the issue is the same everywhere. Muzzleloading should be separate from archery, before or after. And as a non resident hunter I can attest that there is no shortage of hunting pressure. The last week of archery is stacked. Now I hunt other animals if I don't draw.

Declining harvest in 521, yet 35 percent of the DAU harvest in 521? Sounds odd to me. The crowding issue on the grand Mesa and elsewhere is 100 percent the fault of cpw and the pwc! No recognition is given to hunter behavior, if you have preference points, it dictates your behavior. They limited Archery in Gunnison, steamboat, eagle Pitkin counties, the whole sw region, units 80/81 and now the grand Mesa, yet hunters with points stick with otc because why would anyone spends points on a unit worth zero points? Pretty basic behavior that gets ignored. Resident Archery participation is basically flat, nonresident growth is strong. I only have one question, why does a resident deserve to be limited, and forced to do something with all their points. I'd like an answer.

The units I hunt roughly 1700 tags are giving out between elk and deer hunters for muzzloader season. I'm positive there's not that many archery hunters. If there is that's why these animals just shut down shortly into muzzleloader season.

The problem is muzzleloader season never changed in the last 5 year plan. They just moved back Archery season. Give us archery hunters our august week back and put muzzleloader after archery. The crowding is muzzleloader season.

Great presentation. The only problem I had was while viewing the recording on KZbin, the images of the persons speaking cut off the right side of the charts, blocking some of the important information.

Im sure they took into account that 100% of resident hunters that take this survey are going to say they were unhappy to try to keep non-residents out. The muzzleloader groups have ruined the archery season. Setting up camps a month in advance of opening day, truck and horseback scouting.
