I love the message behind the video, it’s so sad that my little siblings have to eat this in school. We also grew up getting free meals from our school too. The schools try their best but it’s hard when they don’t get paid enough. I believe everyone that works in a school environment should get at least $15 an hour.

I’m genuinely confused. As an Australian, I’m wondering do American children eat this every school day? I’m not being hateful, but even the private school food, although it’s better quality, is absolutely atrocious. Where is the vegetables? All I see is fried meat, carbs and cheese. Is this a correct representation of what children eat? It’s so sad. It’s setting children up for a lifetime of health issues and bad eating habits. And Americans don’t even get free healthcare to treat it.

From scandinavia here, both lunches just feel so bad for kids. Sure the private one is better from a health perspective. But in the end both school serve ”fast food”. Sure there were days that we didn’t enjoy our lunches but they were always homecooked at school, and contains alot ALOT of nutrition, always with bread and sallads. Sad to see that other countries cannot work out a way to give good lunches for growing youth

I've watched your content for about a year. Some, like Truth or Drink, was entertaining, some like the Army PT test was not done well at all, and Claudia's work-out vids are motivating, however, this one is absolutely your best one so far. It was sincere, honest, relevant to a current issue (public school nutrition) and had enough sibling rivalry and sexual innuendo (good punch, Claudia!) which made it fun to watch. I was pleasantly surprised at the end to hear you mention that you'll be donating to the Maryland Food Bank. This type of content is meaningful and thought-provoking, by highlighting areas of our society needing improvement. I hope you'll create more content on other current issues, (eg. college costs, student debt, healthcare costs, the long-term effects of fast food on our children, as Kennedy mentioned, etc...), in hopes of educating and (most important) helping people become involved on these issues. Great Job, to all of you (Cory).

I would just like to point out, as a person who was in public school and is now a public school teacher...I love our lunches. There is not one I don't like. Then again, our lunch ladies work so hard to make our food delicious. Some of my favorite include spaghetti, (chicken) nachos, biscuits and gravy, italian dunkers (breadsticks and tomato sauce)...truly the list could go on and on. We also have an amazing salad bar with so many options! Also, keep in mind, nowadays, they usually have the main dish but then typically provide a vegetable and fruit along with it.

To be fair a lot of the ingredients added to the public school pizza seem to be vitamin fortification. I also feel like there might have been a bias where one would’ve had flour listed as a single ingredient (despite the fact that flour itself contains more ingredients) vs the public school one which had every single ingredient of its flour listed. Most flours are fortified and have preservatives. It’s not just wheat.
