I saw an interview in which Chuck D is kind of dissing Flava because of his style and particularly the glasses which he took off every now and then. I vividly remember a little place in the flats (Cleveland) It was winter '91 and the 1st time I snuck into a club called the smart bar. You go into an old freight elevator up a couple floors. Each floor had a colored lightbulb illuminating dusty industrial equipment from a bygone day. I was nervous, excited, and adventurous in this place. The see-through metal gate went up on the rickety old elevator. I stepped out and turned left into a corridor toward the music.
