Luckily I found a narrator willing to do a royalty share! My boyfriend didn't think that was the best idea, but I'm out of funds for this project. I found the perfect narrator too. Out of 20 plus auditions, I found someone with range who sounds believable. Although it is my story, when I read it out loud it didn't seem as effective as when she read it. She is a voice actor after all. This is great information to have though as always Kristen! Appreciate the content you put out for us!!

I love this video. My book isn't done yet, or rather, it's not published. But because my background is radio and commercial voiceover work, there's no reason I should pay someone to narrate my novel. Luckily for me, I have a nice big, clothes-stuffed closet and my best friend gave me one of those blue snowbowl microphones. (or is it snow cone)? Always love it when the Nonsense-Free Editor shows up with new stuff on KZbin. It's my "get me going" subscription.

Thanks for the great video! Editors make everything better. Quality of voice is my main concern with audiobooks. I would love to record my own, but I know my voice is not... um... what's the word? Pleasant? 🤣My husband has more clothes than me too lol. My daily uniform: Sweatpants. Oversized shirt. Ready to rock and roll.

I'd love to hear you narrate your book. Any time I hear stuff that's slick and overly polished, it turns me off. Perhaps that's because when I did radio, the stations I preferred (90s and 2000s alt-rock) wanted us to have a raw, credible, almost off the cuff sound.

As always you’re amazing love watching you and your channel grow girl!!! ❤ I did audio files for my songwriting book (MUSIC&LYRICS: QuickStart guide to songwriting) but after doing them on ACX is taking so long to adjust the audio to “perfection” standards. I’m very familiar w music software but the audiobook stuff has me stuck! Also wanted to do audio for my fiction series Harbor Excursions for years now. Thank you again!!! ❤❤❤❤

I HATE reading so if the book isn't audiobookable, I don't buy it.
