I always return to this video. Domingo and Scotto giving their all. The audience clapping as he steps onto the ship….very moving. During their bows you can see how much it took out of them

Are you the same Mignon Dunn whom I saw in LA FORZA DEL DESTINO on 13 February 1960 at the Met? Miss Dunn, I disagree with you. Renata Scotto rarely had a good review in New York after her return in the seventies. The critics were rather nasty. She still had plenty of voice until the heavier roles took their toll on her instrument. Still, with a diminished vocal ability Miss Scotto was able to be very effective on the operatic stage. She was small in stature, but her presence was immense.
