Have you ported big bore kits before?
@rootstowingsyogahealingnew2101 Жыл бұрын
Finally about to do this. What kind of gains would you see with a bing 14/15 and no case match? I mean the transfers are bigger on an airsal 65 and those will do 44-45 with a case match, but this would be so simple to do if the gains were worthwhile
@jayangle34136 ай бұрын
Man I I have the same question about if he case matched it ???
@jayangle34136 ай бұрын
He did case match it.

I dont need a for sure timeframe on them, just something before spring. I could also take a run at doing it myself if you gave me the port map with the transfers. Four kids myself.

Are you still working on mopeds

Mr Schmitz. I am an old timer.....that still holds mopeds dear. The first thing i ever owned that took me over 40 mph. Was a 1975 vintage E50. Could you post a photograph of a pencil drawing of the port mods so i can see in my mind and translate that to the bore. I can envision what you have done and probably could proceed from there. This sounds to me like a short money fix to get speed and have the bulletproof nature of a stock cylinder. Correct ? A little direction is all i need. Thank You for any information given, I do not want to kit the bike unless i must - 35 or 40 mph is enough for me. more is good but dependability is key .

Actually upon watching this again - not so late at night - i think i have all i need to screw up my own cylinder. I will use a spare 1st. I don't expect much but i will see for myself in time - Thanks for sharing and posting.

What carb are you running? You port matched the case also? Good video!
@macschmitz91942 жыл бұрын
Mikuni Vm18 and yes case matched. You can run it with only doing the exhaust and intake porting and not touching the transfers you'll still see gains from it.
@seniornuggtes7 жыл бұрын
hey mac! would you still be interested in porting a cylinder?

What's it like off the line. Most 50cc kits really bog off the line.
@rootstowingsyogahealingnew21013 жыл бұрын
great video. what do you mean by raise the exhaust port 2 mm? do you mean widen the exhaust port 2mm all the way around?
@macschmitz91943 жыл бұрын
I usually go 1.5mm each side and raise the exhaust 2-2.5mm. And by "raise" I'm saying going up towards the top of the cylinder.

@@macschmitz9194 you still porting cylinders for folks? I have two e50 hi torques and an aluminum I could send you or it might be easier for you to send me if you have stock. i'd love to do it but don't have the tools.

Great video. Do you leave the ignition timing standard?

ok, thanks.

You can also shorten your piston for more port time duration

We work with open in degrees on ports. Not millimeters
@macschmitz91943 жыл бұрын
@Guido Samson This is about dumbing it down for the average guy in his garage trying to make a stock moped faster. Talking in degrees tends to confuse people.

Hey-I acquired a hi torque. Would you still be down porting it for me?
@rootstowingsyogahealingnew21013 жыл бұрын
Do you still port cylinders for folks? I have two e50 hi torques i'd like to do. do you case match or not needed?
@macschmitz91943 жыл бұрын
Case matching would be needed. Also I do them for people here and there but I wouldn't be able to put a for sure time frame on them. Three kids and a full time job really damper the hobbies!

Would this work on standard cylinder? Not the high torque version
