Puddle of Mudd never wrote a bad song, and some can just rip into someone's heart and soul like no other band. A very impressive set of music and work that no one can take away from them. I want more

"And I feel like I'm living inside a dream that no one believes and no one sees." This song has always been my go to to try to explain to people what having a narcissistic mother is like, an angel in public and a demon at home. Not an exaggeration to say this song got me through my teenage years.
@drewcherry2794 Жыл бұрын
Narcissistic personality disorder can be picked apart to fit anyone's traits
@countessofmontecristo Жыл бұрын
@@drewcherry2794 yes it can and that's why its overused today as a description. The traits themselves aren't the issue, everyone has those. It's the disorder part people leave out. When those traits cross the line to a person being unable to function with any type of healthy interpersonal stability, or they constantly tear everything around them including themselves apart. Then when confronted or people reject them, they refuse to take any responsibility or admit they have a problem because they think they can do no wrong. When there's no self reflection leading to no progress in life. Just bitter stagnation inward and an outward public image built on self deception. Their view of others and themselves is extremely distorted and removed from reality. That's a disorder.
@drewcherry2794 Жыл бұрын
@@countessofmontecristo it sure is. And cudos it is overused to point people say that just because they don't like someone but your assessment sounds good and is validated by your experiences with your mom and explanations. I think we are all a victim of circumstances and we can't control what we are put through or what happens growing up. I believe the only way to true growth is inner reflection and trying to replace negative thoughts with positive ones resulting in a more positive approach to our live and problems. Identifying the cycle is just the first step, we have the be the second and better step for our children's sake

I understand why some compare them to a lot of the prominent grunge bands. It's to be expected. When they released their first EP in 1994, it was released during a peak in the grunge era. They're going to have that musical/grimy guitar sound influence regardless. That said, I do think Puddle of Mudd has their own sound and are completely different (in their own right) to a lot of the bands they're compared to.
@Yojimbo7119 жыл бұрын
Tremendously underrated band IMO, among other typical bands of the genre they manage to sound unique largely due to Wes's voice.

anyone ever see things in the clouds even video them and try to show it to them and they just roll their eyes and act like they are listening. My peers may think i am lost and i feel i am living a lie, always feel like i am wasting my time just discussing my visions and how i connect the riddles of life together, Got my eyes in the clouds again, even this attempt to explain what is happpening to me feels like it will go unseen and dissapear like the faces in the clouds.
