My pal RL Martin came by the garage before we went to see an early viewing of The Joker. We were wondering what to play when train after train went by. He just started playing Crazy Train. Andrew captured it. One take and off we went. I know some of y'all are not gonna like what I did here, but I'm gonna go where the muse takes me. I'm just inviting you to come along for the ride. To see what happens. Let's go!
Many thanks to Bob Daisley, Randy Rhoads & Ozzy for writing such a powerful song.
RL Martin play guitar.
Andrew Woodman capture video.
Tim DeLaney engineered.
Many thanks to my friends at LEWITT for the great microphone. www.lewitt-audi...

You should be mainstream and rolling in the fame and the money instead of having to go to a gimmick to showcase your talent. Much success to you Mike.

What did I just watch? Words cannot do justice to how darkly brilliant this cover really is. Pointing to “Let’s go” at just the right time - sharp. Bringing the lyrics to light and life - bonus. Throwing in a few bars of “Message in a Bottle” - mind blown. Way to take a silly concept and reach people on so many levels.

Back in the day, so many people thought that Ozzy was the devil, but all he sang about was truth, love, and corruption. Such a gifted artist. Moreover, most the stuff he wrote about became current still, as it is timeless, beautiful, meaningful and poetic. Puddles Pity Party, you did this song justice for the poetic ear for the next generation without the metal. Just beautiful...

I always could personally, and so I love both versions. But then I'm a fan of many metal groups/songs, as well as a fan of something from almost every other genre of music. Not every genre is for everyone ofc, and this is a good thing, but that doesn't mean one genre is better than any other. The varied personal tastes of the individual are why we even have any of these genres. Without that individuality, quite literally none of these genres would even exist.

This person voice blows me away... You'd think wearing the Clown suit would make him a joke, but it does a wonderful job of contrasting him and his voice... Pure brilliance in my opinion... And he sings so clearly compared to the distorted original versions I've heard over the years that I can actually understand the lyrics... Which makes the songs even better... I love heavy metal, but sometimes ya just can't understand what they're singing to the point it takes away from the song...

@74 torino Ozzy is plenty human I reckon. Fame, fortune, and the bright lights don't always bring out the best in a person. I've enjoyed listening to both Ronnie James and Ozzy over the years. I actually found myself seated in a booth next to Ozzy in a Mexican resturaunt back in the mid 80s. He was drunk as a skunk of course, but we had a decent conversation until his body guards showed up.

Puddles silently mouthing the _"ai ai ai"_ Ozzy does in the beginning of the song gave me a huge grin. Great interpretation of Randy's guitar parts Martin, being a guitarist myself, that meant a LOT to me.
