Your thoughts are not your own thoughts. That's bible right there. So careful of boasting about creating rap. Because many who idol worship or love rap Wich is of the world 🌎 Won't make it into the kingdom. And these rappers will lead you straight to the basement. So I'm glad we didn't invent it. But many Spanish and whites are on there way to the basement because they worship the evil in rap and glorify and support the violence , And sexual immorality, Cheating , Drugs, Fornication Adultary. The list is endless. I personally don't like it no more because it's supporting black on black crime. Rap music is a problem in the black culture and we need to call it out. Look at these kids copying and emulating the style. Trying to act and be someone else, who is actually doing the same thing) Wich is copying someone else. Please read your bible get norn again and baptized in the holy spirit. Rap is a quick way to the basement. And I want all to escape what will come to them if they are not careful.

Why is it that you guys consistently refuse to admit that not one Puerto Rican has ever stated on record that American Blacks did not create Hip Hop, and its culture. Puerto Ricans have just merely stated that we were right there in The Bronx, NY during the early 70's in the delivery room watching Hip Hop come out of the womb. We are saying that we were right there actively involved in all the elements that eventually became known as Hip Hop culture. We are saying it was a collective. Mind you, we understand that many of you who have issues are from the south and west coast that have been molded by the "Jim Crow" experience. We know it is hard for you to fathom that Blacks and Puerto Ricans of New York City actually cohabited the same neighborhoods. But, it is 2023 -- not 1950! Learn 70's Bronx, NY history first, before you use this as an underground covert military operation against Latinos as a whole! Godspeed...

And we expanded on that…now everyone does creates hip hop music. Does it matter what race is involved 50 years later? Please don’t make this a race thing because majority of the people in the or parade are AFRICAN AMERICAN Also the hypocrisy in you saying nothing Puerto Ricans brought nothing to the table yet you compliment pun….pun brought breathing control…eat coast flow change up…all WHOLE NEW SOUND…when kid frost made “la raza” nobody was saying shit about the chicanos …. But seriously we can debate all day but the end result is still and respectfully that hip hop is for all colors and ethnicity…. You took fat joes statement too literally I know he’s a storyteller both lies and truth doesn’t mean u can diminish the fact that Spanish people in hip hop were a cultural add on and no one complained … Shabba ranks made a song called dembow …then all of a sudden 30 years after that song reggaeton/dembow is one of not the laregest streamed music genre in the world….we know where we get some of shit from we pay homage don’t make it seem like Puerto Ricans are biting off people

Spirituals, Ragtime, Jazz, Country, Gospel, Bluegrass, Folk, Rock n Roll, Doo-Wop, Soul, Funk, Disco, Punk, House and of course Rap and Hip Hop---all enjoy well documented African American roots coupled with undeniable Black American influence---whether directly or indirectly.. Latinos -- Puerto Ricans particularly -- please explain how you co-created or co-invented yet another installment in the legacy of Black Musical expression known as Rap and Hip Hop, yet didn't co-create or co-invent any of the elements or ingredients of the 14 or so African American music forms that preceeded it? Or why you were nowhere to be found and absent during the creative and inventive foundation outlining the forms of African American musical expression, brilliance and greatness throughout, or even prior to the previous 14 or so African American music forms that are mentioned above? Yet then, all of a sudden--and out of nowhere, lying latinos and jamaicans slither along and falsely claim latinos and/or puerto ricans and jamaicans co-created and co-invented Rap and Hip Hop 50/50 half n half (which is the evidence-free and utter nonsense being peddled by Dr. Derrick Colon, radical latino, Fat Joe and numerous other un-informed and envious latinos---which are claims that latinos never mentioned, verbalized or asserted during its inception in the early 1970's)---latinos claims of "50/50--half & half co-creation and co-invention just don't add up---it makes no sense and are increasingly coming under heavy scrutiny which is leading to these claims being easily debunked--widespread. Nice try though latinos, puerto ricans and jamaicans. Make it make sense Latinos..

Ill mention just one thing - Arturo Alfonso Schomburg... Is very important to understand how many communities have been excluded from the creation of not only Hip Hop (Commercial name created by the industry) but Jazz, Funk, Soul etc. Communities like Haitians, Jamaican and yes PR who have maintain religious, resilience, resistance and ritualistic music. The commercial music names have cloaked the reality of our music of identification as part of a plan for colonialism, domination and assimilation of cultures. The starting point happened in Haiti and Treme in New Orleans. Please look up Bois Caïman and the Haitian Revolution, this will help explained why its so important to own the definition of OUR RHYTHM AND MUSIC.
@born_supreme8 ай бұрын
Let me make sure I understand you well before going off. Are you saying Jazz was created by Haitians, or even influenced by Haitians?
@poesiapr8 ай бұрын
It’s important to understand the history of the colonizing of US and America. Most people don’t know that 2 thirds of the what today is “United States” was really 13 colonies on the east coast, the rest was Spain, France and Mexico. What you now call Mississippi/Louisiana - New Orleans was colonize by the French and worked by black enslaved people. The connection between Haiti and New Orleans (Both colonize French) was constant, economical, cultural, racial and social. Haiti was the 1st Republic in America, and only Black Nation in the world liberated by enslaved black people. Haiti was very rich and influential in all of America, and yes its music, food, its liberation inspire all US, Caribbean, forcing laws to abolish in all of “new world”. This was why it had to be sabotage, destroyed and enslaved ECONOMICALLY, still to this day. Please look up TREMÉ as the first Black Wall Street. So to answer your question, YES Haiti influence Jazz via all I have explained and more. Don’t forget the more than 6 million black migration from the south to the north because of Jim Crow, lynching and opportunities in the north. @@born_supreme
@born_supreme8 ай бұрын
@poesiapr , Ah, I see, you're a delusional Haitian. Respect to Haiti for their contributions during the revolution. I have complete admiration and Respect for their feats and contributions. However, I do know New Orleans history, very well actually. I just left there in May, and I stayed in Tremé. First, you must understand the history of Louisiana prior to Haitians coming to New Orleans. Look up Congo Square. In fact, visit sometime. Congo Square is the reason for New Orleans Culture, not Haiti. It existed prior to any Haitians arriving; over a hundred years, actually. How can Haitians have influenced Jazz, when Jazz derives from the Blues, and the Blues originates in Mississippi? For this reason is why you see a lot of Jazz standards incorporating the word "Blues". This is also why so many jazz standards are just versions of existing Blues records. Jazz is a combination of The Blues & Ragtime, and it didn't come about until the early 1900s, which is well beyond the Haitian migration into New Orleans. Haiti influenced jazz, then WHAT part of Jazz did it influence? What did Haitians DO to influence Jazz? You see, we can all make bold claims, but can we support them is the question?
@born_supreme8 ай бұрын
@poesiapr , Also, the Louisiana purchase didn't include Mississippi. Hell, it didn't even include all of what is Louisiana today. There were territories, and there were Colonies, all of which was controlled by the United States. So, the US was bigger than the 13 original colonies by that point. The Louisiana purchase included a slither of Louisiana and most of the midwest. New Orleans was the hub of the territory. The French had enslaved Africans in that territory for over a hundred years. The French had a different outlook on Slavery than the English. The French allowed for their enslaved population to have a day off to do as they pleased. This enslaved population would congregate, trade, sing and dance. This originally was happening in another part of the city, but it brought about white fear, so the then mayor of New Orleans designated an area for the congregation, which would become known as Congo Square.
@poesiapr8 ай бұрын
So let me see if i understand...Rap and Hip Hop is more English (England) than French (Haiti)? Because Jazz is and offspring from the 13 Colonies and not from Haiti - New Orleans/Louisiana/Mississippi? To be clear - We don't have to agree, but Haiti's Revolution is the most important Black event to the American continent, the whole continent (From Patagonia to Greenland NA) . It influence everything, in and out Haiti and the world... Politics, Culture, Religion, Economics and race Worldwide. Still to this day Haiti is the most important threat to European and Anglo domination. @@born_supreme

why did black emcees let Hip Hop fade away, though? The only emcees remaining are the ones that are famous and have been famous. Some even say Hip Hop evolved. How is that possible? My Top 5 are mainly black Emcees [Big L, Big Pun, Prodigy, Nas & Kool G Rap] I love Nas, but since he is still alive , how could he say 'Hip Hop is dead'? I mean, he is[one of many true emcees] the embodiment of Hip Hop manifested. Hip Hop sounds aren't supposed to change outside of what makes Hip Hop music. It would be 'experimental' beyond that. It's like making a salsa song sound like merengue and call it ''salsa''. Not really so. I LOVE Hip Hop in its form. It's kinda heart breaking to see the state of [BLACK] Hip Hop today on the mainstream and even on the underground. What happened there? Just my rant. 5 ELEMENTS 12 JEWELS! Peace!

I get that part. I really do. But, I'm mostly referring to the essence of Hip Hop. It sort of 'vanished' from the black Hip Hop community. Apart from someone like KRS One, there's is essentially no one promoting it at all. It is like absent from the scene entirely. Anyway, not trying to 'hate' or anything like that/ Just something that I find a little sad since I find black true emcees as really dope and talented with flow lyrics and such. Respect!

@stackmosayless-16699 ай бұрын
@therealsyxx I know you trying to establish a narrative to get your channel to pop but don't feed the narrative Fat Joe getting paid to push. In all reality the fake joos hijacked a art form to push an agenda. Record labels taking out artist and they never wanted black people in charge of distribution or to own they own publishing. Salsa music was created by Afro-Cubans made popular by Puerto Ricans 60's and 70's alot of black musicians played in salsa bands because they had the jazz background. It was almost like Hip Hop that it bought people together. Fania Records use to tour in Africa because it's true roots was from Africa. The Africans treated them like royalty because it was there music bought back to them. It was a beautiful thing but the record labels were the ones who got rich not the artist. I have more Afro beats and jazz music in my library than today's hip hop because that's closer to the frequency that speaks to my soul.
