We’ve never lived there but have visited several times and have always felt completely safe. If you’ve never been to PV, you might want to visit first and make that decision from your own experience.

Another thing to consider are the different ZONES in Puerto Vallarta each having their own unique qualities. We personally love the Romantic Zone and its easy access to Los Muertos Beach. We have always felt safe in all the zones of PV.

Wow, thank you!! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! To make a long story short, a woman inquiring about my camera led to finding our private driver. I was pretty lucky how that all worked out. If you are staying at a hotel, I’m sure they could help you out at the front desk/concierge in finding a private driver. If I figure out another way, I will let you know as soon as I can!

I wish I could have provided more help in booking a tour, but asking your concierge sounds like a perfect plan to me! I think the streets and sidewalks make using any kind of wheelchair or stroller hard. The locals are kind and helpful. I agree that you should visit before moving there.
