Great video. Quilter’s tip…. Use a walking foot when quilting. It feeds from the bottom and top and will eliminate some of the issue with the fabric moving and bunching at the end.

My oldest daughter just asked me to teach her how to sew. I was going to direct her to Sew Academy for the basics and then she says her first project she wanted to make a puffer jacket. Got the email notification from MiMi today about the new pattern - LOVE LOVE LOVE it, how ironic. Made the purchase and looking forward to my daughter knocking this out (with my help of course). Great pattern and color.

You need to use a walking presser foot or an even feed presser foot to keep the layers from feeding unevenly.

Roughly how many yards of fabric for each component? I’m wanting to remake the Kelce jacket I saw tonight, and I’m 99% sure the lady who made it used this video as a guide. Wondering how you’d do the vinyl on the collar if you have any videos on that type of work. Thanks!

It’s about 3 yards per component, based on size, according to the back of the pattern envelope (I looked it up on the simplicity website), so it’s quite a bit of material.

I really want to do this but the most I have sewed is scrub caps, boxy bags, and quilts. This feels a little far fetched but I'm determined 😂 If I get the digital pattern, will it come with print outs I tape together for the fabric cuts? Will the paper one make my life easier with already pre-cut stencils? Thank you!
