Krakens are the 3rd strongest monster in the monster manual so it is kinda weird that they don,t get magic resistance and stuff like that. Tho in the background lore they apparently like to wear their enemies down from afar with control weather, only showing to fight in person once the party has been sucked under water by tidal waves. So i guess they shouldn't need magic resist and the other things. Also if you want to play DnD online i think most people use software to role dice so everyone can see it. So yea, you just need to learn how to play at that point, speaking of which if you wanna play a spell caster, check out the "animated spell book". Its a series of animations explaining the basic mechanics of spell casting and how each class does it. It also eventually once they cover the basics have episodes dedicated to a single spell, pointing out why it sucks, or creative uses, etc as well as eps that just tell stories from dnd. Id say you should react to the series but the first few eps are basically how too and i imagine wouldn't be good to react to.

I know that feeling. The last boss i tossed at my players was a high pristes wich got insta sleeppoisendarted. Now 1/5th of my bossfights HP pool was asleep, while 3/5th where in the Demon she was suposed to sumon on her turn (next in turnorder). The last 5th where a bunch of minnions with very basic abillitys. This is why i added legendary resistances to my bosses. We play 3.5 by the whay.

Druids are fun. I played a skeleton circle of the moon druid named Tim. We had his wildshape forms reflavored so that they were also skeletons. The short version of his backstory was that he was a normal dude working as a druidic park ranger for the city. He got mauled by a bear named Big Booty Bertha and resurrected a century later by a bored necromancer's apprentice. Then he decided to become an adventurer because no amount of affirmative action would have gotten him a normal job. Tim eventually was killed by a fae lord as the party tried to escape his domain. Fuck the fae.
