Simple possession charges vary from state to state but usually for 1st/2nd time offenders not within 30 days of each other it goes: Up to 25 grams = Violation ($200 fine, no problem). 25 grams to 2 Quaps (8oz.) is a Mismedeamor and after 8oz's youre in Felony territory where youre likely to have intent to sell tacked on depending on the situation and may end up in the clink for a little bit.
