I think Joey was a working farm dog before she came to 'OUR' Farm. Sam, Luke, Evie, Wolfie and Elle helped Joey realise her potential as a Speed Queen. I doubt Joey met many kitty cats in her previous life so I too am amazed that she adores Kitty Rose and I love watching her establish a playful relationship with the kitten.

After the bark woke up Cutie Pie and Kitty Rose, I love Joey and Tilly tagged teamed Cutie Pie for a chance to play with Kitty Rose. Cutie Pie didn’t want to give up so easily. CP and KR were so comfy looking all snuggled together for a nap. In the end it looked like Miss Violet just wanted Kitty Rose as a puppy pile pillow but Kitty Rose wanted to play. The dogs are so well behaved around Kitty Rose and are trying to play gently with her. When she purred it was like Miss Violet was trying to figure out what end that noise came from, rolling her over to find the noise. It’s a tribute to their training and Luke and Sam that they are so well behaved around each other. I’m in awe from the beginning, I had more of a Jason reaction when the cat joined the family pack when he said something to the effect, you do know you have dogs at The Farm!

It is fascinating to watch Joey playing with Kitty Rose. Other than the occasional Joey appearance running past Luke on the quad or caught curled up sleeping in her oval bed....Joey is just not a silly social butterfly. Be sure to show this to Jason who I do believed used the word “crazy” when you got a kitten. It really does give your home the last little “over the edge” look you needed. Many years ago, in a then, rundown area of Brisbane, I found a stray kitten the size of Kitty Rose and she was exactly the same in appearance. I called her Lucy. As she grew she displayed the spirit of a Burlesque Dancer and the heart of a lion....totally fearless and constantly entertaining. No big blue eyes, no endless fluff, no please don't touch me...just a 'bring it on' attitude. She was like no cat I had ever experienced...! I think Eve and the Evans family will get endless joy from this little soul.
