Solomon was the son of King David, who was a wise and able ruler. His wish was granted when he asked God for wisdom and knowledge. His land prospered under his efficient rule.
King Solomon quickly grew popular among the nearby nations and people from all over the world visited him. Queen Sheba proposed marriage, and Solomon quickly agreed as her kingdom had large resources at her disposal. But things didn’t go very well as planned. Queen Sheba brought along with her pagan worship practices to Judea. This turned out to be a disaster.
When Queen Sheba arrived in Judea, she brought along their practice of idol worship into Solomon’s land. This quickly turned into a disaster as many new temples were built to follow idol worship. Solomon married again and again, and he built huge palaces for his wives. Solomon increased the taxes of the common man to meet his extravagance. In the meantime, uprisings started around the country.
