I'd kill for a Marionette action figure. XD The last I checked at the nearby Walmart, there was an overflowing box of spring colored ones and a second box about halfway full of tie-dye ones and halfway full of misc plushies from other series. It doesn't sound like that's the common consensus, but I noticed it. I could definitely see some characters selling better than others. I don't imagine the Withereds would sell like crazy, but the toys might, and the fact that they're not putting out merch even though they know it will likely sell (and already have the mold) is probably less at a risk of a loss and more because recoloring the same product and pumping it out is easy and quick.

There’s no way Funko thinks people will think the figures are outdated. They KNOW, people have been wanting the animatronics and the withereds and they know that they will make enough money, the toy animatronics is a possibility, but they’re too lazy to make. The withereds most likely.

I think the reason why these newer figures aren’t selling well is because wave one wave three and wave 5 had the interesting and popular Build a figures nowadays they don’t do that anymore which was a kind of trash move for the company The builder figure concept is the reason why these sell so well which made people buy the whole entire set just to get the figure that you need to build while collecting every figure in the set nowadays people can just get one of the newer figures without having to worry to collect all figures and some characters that they don’t care about. If I were Funko I would discontinue the snaps immediately and replace them with the original action figures with The show stage and overall just bring back the builder figure since that’s what brings peoples attention in my opinion

Why doesn't Funko release the withereds one at a time with other waves. From a business stand point, they lose a lot of money if they don't make enough sales. So making a whole wave of withereds wouldn't be the best idea because the risk of the money going all the way down. But let's say they do a wave for the a Toys, and they include withered bonnie in it. Toy Bonnie, Freddy, chica, bb, puppet, withered bonnie. That way theirs still an ongoing theme and it mixes well with the colorfulness of the Toys. For withered chica they could release her in another Halloween set. Withered foxy and withered Freddy can be released separately like a shadow drop this way they won't lose a lot of money. And if this does well they gain a lot more money

Very good business explanation! To expand on that, my guess with the toy animatronics is Funko found a way to make all new tooling for the toy animatronics while barely having to splurge money on paint applications. Companies are given a budget in how much they can spend on a wave. They have to determine what they want that money going towards. New tooling costs upwards to $100k per a fully tooled figure, which is why companies try to make partly-tooled figures or repaints to reduce cost. The AR wave had all new tooling for each character, but little to no paint application. This shows they used all their budget in new tooling. My theory is, now that they spent the money on new tooling, they can use it down the line, later when given a new budget for a new wave. Because they already have the tooling from previously, they can then splurge all their money on paint applications. If this is their plan, it’s a great one. Trying to create a wave with so much paint applications and new tooling is nearly impossible from a business standpoint. Doing it this way, (if this is at all the plan) the toy animatronics will look good and not incomplete or off.

When scott cawthon announced the fnaf fazbear fanverse initiative and said in the future it will get merchandise.. yeah, that was one or two years ago, all we got were plushies, I don't think we're going to get action figures of ignited freddy or fnaf plus freddy Mainly because they are serving there actual purpose of being scary and funko won't think they will sell because it's not for kids, yeah.

They could quite easily make the more darker figures (Withereds, Twisted Ones, Nightmares, scrap etc) exclusive to certain stores that have a more older teen/adult audience such as Hot Topic and perhaps even Forbidden Planet. The problem with the darker figures not selling well is that they don't market to their audience properly. If they released the Withereds + Toys in one big wave and marketed the toys to more regular stores such as Walmart and Target and the withereds to hot topic etc, then they would see their figures sell well.

There's also the possibility of a line aimed at adult collectors, like the Hammond/Amber collection for the Jurassic world wave (although some have said that they don't quite live up to that, but you get the idea)

Problem with that is that they aren’t being completely funded by only fnaf, pal. They have the rights to so many licenses, and fnaf isn’t a priority for them. I can bet you marvel and dc alone are making funko more money than fnaf is. Not to mention figures, pop, and plushies aren’t funkos only means of money, although they are a main way usually. Moral of the story, funko literally doesn’t need fnaf at all, they can leave it anytime and wouldn’t lose that much money

They should do, like, special events with those other characters, or something. Like timed online exclusive orders, and only a set amount (like first come first serve on a list) so they only have to make however many requests for them they get, and not have to go overboard with production.

They made a Tye-Dye Springtrap plushie and action figure. Springtrap is like the same idea as the Withereds. He's broken, he's dark in color, he's even got guts in him! The Tye-Dye Springtrap plushie was Withered and even had guts In him. He was a lot brighter in color, but most of the FNaF Plushies out there are bright colors. The Nightmares were bright when in reality they're really dark colors. The COD plushies were all pretty bright. And I think the Tye-Dye Springtrap plushie must've sold really well considering I never saw a single one in stores! And the Tye-Dye Springtrap plushie was I think clearly supposed to be Funko trying to improve the already existing plushie since he's a lot more accurate. They just made him much brighter. So I think they could definitely make Withered Plushies and have them sell well as long as they make them more bright. As for the action figures, I don't really know.

Funko is straight up lying, “dark and scary characters don’t sell well”. Scrap Baby, Ennard, & Springtrap are some of the most loved action figures. The nightmare figures, reselling for 100+ dollars each, people clearly want them, there is a demand. If the Dreadbear wave didn’t sell well then why make a tiny version of the Dreadbear plush???? Tiny Dreadbear constantly sells out at Walmart & Funko’s website. Normal Dreadbear plush is literally sold out on Funko’s website as yesterday. While on the other hand there is the bright and colorful stuff. The tiedye figues have been rotting on a shelf for months at my local Walmart, literally none have sold. The AR plushies are literally polluting GameStop. Spring Colorway plushies used to be everywhere you looked for the months after they released. When the Blacklight wave released it just sat there on shelves for a long, long, while. Close to everyone complained about the AR wave, Tiedye wave, Blacklight wave, & Spring Colorway wave. The AR plushies are being sold at 5 Below for 3 dollars and 28 cents due to how terribly they sold. TLDR: Funko is lying, colorful stuff rots on shelves for months, all the dark & scary stuff is literally out of stock everywhere.

Also I think withered Freddy and withered foxy are probably not worth doing because it’s kinda hard for Funko to design different versions of characters they already have without them just reusing parts same with the withered chica. They would probably just reuse most of the molds. But The toy animatronics would be perfect! I had a dream once that funko made wave 2 to funko snaps the withereds, but they also made a few new waves. Your probably thinking, "are these going to be the phantoms or the rest of the nightmares" well no. My question is why did they stop the build a figures? That was one of the best selling points of the figures. They had the perfect opportunity to make Nightmare Fredbear the baf for the curse of dreadbear line but they didn’t and I still don’t understand why they didn’t make him for the fnaf 4 wave seeing as how he is literally the main antagonist of that game. I promise if they were to make a withered wave and brought back the baf’s they would sell amazingly but they won’t ever do that. All we’re ever gonna get from them anymore are the stupid recolors that nobody cares about. Can they at least make a nightmare fredbear or maybe a scraptrap figure?

I might pick up the new circus wave, but the only waves I've bought in their entirety was fnaf 1 and sister location. I have an idea, if we don’t get any figures people want then I have a way for unique customs, making then with oven dry clay. Make the parts, make holes for the joints, harden, and glue in the joints. (And paint if you don’t use colored clay)
