Damn, I saw this game just a little in videos of game creator, but it's so amazing to see now these hands (climbing using item) mechanics and "physics" (crates, for example) on sega genesis.

I played on Megadrive and maybe I'm biased but I think that looked the best, and I would say I'm gutted to find that Sega CD has more bosses but I don't recall ever beating the 5 on Megadrive so I guess it doesn't matter. Could've sworn the sprites weren't so saturated in the version I played though, but no matter.

I don't post often if at all, but I always enjoy your videos. And, Puggsy is by far my favorite game ever from Jon Burton and the gang at Traveller's Tales (Mickey Mania is great too though), with both the Genesis and Sega CD versions being in my top-10 favorites for both systems. Though the Sega CD version is better overall, IMO, I'm always torn on the music: in some tracks, I kind of prefer Matt Furniss's fm soundtrack in the Genesis version over the Sega CD's music. I don't have a strong opinion either way on the Amiga version, and I've never played it. I was glad to see the SNES prototype rom get released, and though I really don't like the music in the prototype, otherwise it's fairly good. Maybe the music could have been improved before the final release, since I had hoped the music would land somewhat-closer-sounding to the Sega CD release.

0:15 this sound effect at the beginning of the puggsy intro sounds a little creepy but I loved that part! puggsy is a cool platform game and yet a nice character, I would like it if it had a sequel to traveller's tales or if some of the fangame makers would be interested in making a fangame dedicated to puggsy, but as most of you already know, fangame makers are only interested in creating fangames of very famous characters like mario and sonic and creating their own indie games with their characters and creating horror and creepypaste games! but if I'm a fangame maker obviously I'll make it just like traveler's tales did in the past with this underrated gem!

I’ve only played the Mega Drive version and it wins by a mile, the Amiga version is clearly the weakest version but the Mega CD version is ok but the music despite being red book audio is worse than the Mega Drive version, I even prefer the Amiga version over the Mega CD version.

I didn’t play any of the versions but my favorite is Sega cd version for the FMV cutscenes, better but deleting and changing some music and extra bosses and etc.

Yeah, at that time Amiga ports were starting to become an afterthought. Still, 50hz scrolling, music and sound effects simultaneously, some Copper colours.. It could have been worse.

It was developed originally for the Megadrive . The Amiga version is also a superb game.

Didn’t know this was gonna get a SNES version. Good if weird puzzle platformer with some fancy VFX. CD is the best, with the same gameplay as the others and high quality music and extra FMV. Amiga is the weakest. Graphics are notably worse and I’ve heard it lacks in other areas

Puggsy still plays pretty good for the hardware it's running on, since the Amiga is a 1985 machine. It could have easily had a way worse framerate.

The Mega Drive version is the definitive version of Puggsy with the best soundtrack by far, the Mega CD version only has the FMV going for it and even then it’s not even interesting.

bueno, el nombre lo mata pussy, compañia psygnosis, responsable de maravillas como shadow of the beast, , no se como encuadrarlo, tiene plataformas,pero no es mario ni wonderboy, tiene puzzles pero no es goblins ni lemmings, pero bueno, si me quedo con alguna versión, me quedo con : 1. Sega megacd Todsa son muy parecidas, y ya por estos años, se nota que el amiga no puede con las consolas.

Its version for the Amiga machine is completely unfairly made. This machine shows its teeth in games. Here it seems clearly made worse on purpose . And the reason is not to reduce the sales of the console versions. It is therefore unfair to say here, which is the best version knowing this. Trade is all trade.
