I agree with the detective scenes, his dialogue drags on. I think the Karras scenes with him trying to decipher if Reagan’s possessed or not works better in the book than in the film. I think it’s also because the 70’s was a time of psychological advancements, and he was just trying to check off all things that the mind could possibly do before he could argue she was “spiritually” possessed. Also, this book was really more about the priest and not Reagan. 🎃🎃🎃🎃🐾 🐾🐾🐾

Another thing to consider when reading older, famous books, is that they have influence so much of what we have consumed since that it feels cliched and over done, even though it was first. 🐾🐾🎃🎃🐾🐾

I really enjoyed Spark of the Everflame 🔥 I read the first 3 on kindle. I’d like to get physical copies too, maybe when the 4th book comes out. The story gets really good from book 2 onwards. I really like the world building too, and you find out more about the different lands. Also that’s really cool that they were indie published first and then a traditional publisher picked them up

🐾🎃🐾! I definitely get how seeing the movie could have influenced your reading of the book .( Exorcist ) My friends and I ,from Catholic school, snuck it from a family member . We were 13 years old ! I was scarred for a long time .Stupid as heck !lol P.S. Just got finished making a huge batch of ground turkey , mini elbow pasta ,and rice for my Spoo puppy who is 6 months old .He hit the parent Jackpot , as did yours !

I love Rosemary’s Baby movie, I think I’ll like the book too. Going to try exercise too. From the movie I believe the priest is losing his faith and by believing the girl is possessed is his own inner conflict. 🎃&🐾
